  DO NOT HIRE TSI. TSI was hired to crate up and move two grandfather clocks. On the receiving end the clocks had not been crated and were severely damaged. TSI turfed me off to the sub contractor Plycon, who’s response was I should have brought more insurance and all furniture gets damaged. After several emails and calls TSI confirmed that the clocks had never been appropriately protected and refunded the fee for crating the clocks. It took several months of looking to find a craftsman even willing to give me an estimate on repairing the clock. I sent the repair estimate to TSI but they have yet to respond. TSI neglected to protect my property and now I'm left with a hefty repair bill for my Howard Miller clock.

  We recently had our parent's dining table and chairs shipped from CA to PA; TSI made the process so very easy. They were quick to respond to questions and the table was delivered on time, in great shape, and the team set it up exactly where we requested. We would absolutely use TSI again and in fact are repeat customers as we had shipped the same furniture from MD to CA 4 years ago. When we wanted it back, we knew exactly who to call!

  TSI, Transit Systems Inc., is a broker who hired a mover to ship two pieces of furniture [vintage, heirloom, been in the family since the mid-1800s]. Once hired I had to initiate all follow ups. The shipper stripped down the two pieces into eight separate groups. The two groups included crown molding from the top of a secretary [hutch/desk/cabinet combination] and six drawers [4 from the secretary and two from a double dropleaf table]. My first indication that the aforementioned two groups were lost was when only six groups were delivered. I was told the other two groups would be delivered the following week. My second indication that the items were lost was receiving a confirmation that a claim was submitted to the insurance company. To paraphrase, TSI’s response to my final email to them was that sometimes items are separated or lost in the 10,000 moves they handle each year, they are sorry and they acknowledged that I was insured. They also mentioned their many positive reviews and their low loss rate compared to the industry. Three stars is only an average review rate. When they realize this, maybe they will improve their service. Hopefully I will receive a full refund as well as the full value of the insurance. The furniture will never be whole, even with remanufactured molding and drawers, which is left to me to accomplish. In hindsight, I should have used a PODS type service to have a much, much better control over the shipment.

  This customer had additional insurance coverage for his shipment. While we understand part of his shipment was lost in transit and not found after the search. We are happy the customer had additional coverage and despite undervaluing his shipment, TSI and our insurance company were able to settle his claim in full for the amount he valued his items. This customer unfortunately is not happy as he is claiming the new cost for repair is more than double the amount he insured his item for. Typically coinsurance would play into this and the customer would receive a very small percentage, but in this case, TSI worked with our third party insurance company to resolve the claim and pay it in full.
