The business practices of this company have made many of their former owner-operators lose everything they had. Their rationale is that, "It is all just business." Well guess what? Real people run these businesses! Traveloko takes no responsibility for the integrity of their own equipment. If something is wrong with their own equipment at the start, they find a way to charge the driver for it. Nobody gets their deposits back, even if they return the equipment undamaged. If Traveloko fails to collect all the revenue from the broker via the factoring company, they take no responsibility for it. They just back charge that money to the owner operator. Traveloko has many extra fees and costs that don't exist with other Owner Operator/Lease Operator companies. Partner with these guys if you want to generate large revenue and then not get to keep much of it. You'll spend weeks or months driving a truck for free just to pay Traveloko's costs and fees while they basically do nothing.
Response from the owner
Thank you for your post. We love to address these unsupported claims. You are saying that real people run businesses but you made this post with a fake name. Hmm. Our top owner operators took home last month $7000+ in a week obviously this can change in future. Real settlement is posted on owner operator job posting page (if you need help finding it call us or email us) How do you lose everything or drive for free by being able to make $7000 a week? All our equipment is DOT legal and everybody gets their refundable deposits back period. All our fees $189 a week are posted on our website publicly for all to see. Fees we have are Insurance, ELD, Transfer fee and Mail. If you are an owner operator in trucking you should know what those fees are. Currently our company per mile average is $2.79 including empty miles. Multiply that by how many miles you drove last week and deduct our $189 weekly fee. Now tell me can you lose everything by making that much? Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to reply to you.

I worked for Traveloko for just about a year. I went there with my own truck but leased a trailer. I ended up leaving, reluctantly, because my pos Kenworth was killing me in maintenance costs. I did not have any bad experience here at all. Everyone from Eric, Edis, April and others were helpful. I would go back to pulling for Traveloko in a heartbeat. As far as drivers saying they did not get any deposi back, I highly doubt that.

I wish that I read the bad reviews about these guys before I signed a lease contract with them. They are scammers! Both the truck and the trailer that at leased from them had serious mechanical problems on the very first load! Instead of standing by their own equipment, they expected me to pay for all their own obligated repair costs. Keep in mind, the equipment was broken before I even used it. Traveloko just wants people to sign contracts so that they can make the new drivers pay for pre-existing needed repairs. Stay away.
