  Two men and a Truck assisted me with our move out of the Beacon at Gateway apartment complex last week. The crew was pleasant, quick and careful with my items. The packed unit was on the third floor with no elevator (thanks Beacon at Gateway) and the three man moving team worked really hard with those stairs to make the loading quick and easy. They arrived ahead of schedule and their offload at my new house in Falmouth was very quick as well. The only room for improvement would have been for the MANY items that had to be deposited in my basement to have been stacked just a bit more orderly... All in all, I was very impressed with the professionalism of the crew and the speed with which the moved happened. I've had horrible past experiences with moving companies, and this was a vast improvement. To note: I did reserve all delicate/ fragile/ family heirloom pieces to be moved by myself, personally packed. All lamps, artwork and irreplaceable items went with me, and not loaded or transported with the crew and truck. This gave me control and responsibility and resulted in ZERO damage to my items. Frankly, it's the only way to move- limit risk. The paperwork was easy, with an online reservation form emailed to me in advance of the move and they took a CC payment on site at completion of the move. I would 100% recommend Two Men and a Truck to a friend.

  I am very happy with my experience with Two Men and a Truck. From the start, their customer service was spot on. As promised, I received a call the day before the move to confirm plans: the day of the move, another call with their ETA. The three young men were very careful with all my furniture, they moved quickly and almost as if choreographed. They were professional yet friendly. It was a highly successful move. Without reservation, I recommend Two Men and a Truck of Westbrook.

  Steer clear of this company. I had a large move in July and they were understaffed from the get go and had one inexperienced mover asking inappropriate questions about why I was moving, etc. The crew got tired and ran out protective clothes, leaving my most expensive furniture items last and wrapping them in saran wrap instead. They didn't even take the legs off my dining room table before putting it in the truck. There was extensive damage to my table (frame cracked), gauges and marks all over my bureau and bedside table, scuffs and skid marks on my desk and shelves- all of the major furniture items in my house were damaged. The former manager, Gabe, made good faith efforts to repair some of this damage. The more challenging repairs were unsuccessful. Then came a change in management- the new manager is Brandon. He has refused further efforts to repair/compensate for the damage, stating the company has already invested too much money in unsuccessful repairs and that it is my fault. Bottom line: if you have high quality, expensive household items to move, choose another moving company. Brandon is running a company where there is no professional responsibility for a job poorly executed.
