  Rented a van with empty tank and was told to return with a quarter full in exchange for credit. Given the cost of gas I objected but was not given a choice. So I did return with more than a quarter full. They confirmed the level and said receipt with credit is on the way by email. When I looked at it the next day, they marked the tank as 1/8 full and slashed the credit by 2/3. Such blatant and deliberate dishonesty! Good thing I took a picture of the dashboard and called corporate which reissued the credit. But the St Claude location, now managed and serviced by a bunch of arrogant crooks, needs a complete overhaul.

  Worst location of U-haul ever rude stuff. I purchased some propane with 7 gallons of the tank but they charged me more than that. There were two employees and there was no other customer still I had to wait for them to come out to fill up the tank. Don't waste your time and money. This location should change their employees.

  I'm holding the belief that this location exists so that UHAUL can report capital loss. Although I had a mobile/self-service reservation, as I was approaching the van that had been matched to me, literally while taking the prompted photos, another customer holding the keys said I was "at his van" and he got in to drive away. I then had to walk inside because this location has the layout and confusion of a place that probably has multiple rental wrecks/damages/pile-ups. The woman of the counter barked at me like a probation office,"ma'am you can't have that van! Get in line!" And after 45 minutes of her and her co-worker shuffling their work order, it was clear they had double booked OR let ENTIRE PAST DUE vehicles slide off their radar! They were calling prior customers saying "you were supposed to return your UHAUL 3 hours ago/45 minutes ago/yesterday..." I mean, come on... How likely is it that multiple customers were withholding uhuals post-return time? At this point in my reservation, the run-around that their "computer was down" and my horror that my identity would be compromised, I threw in the towel and went with a personally referred mover instead. This place is insane. My tip- before making a reservation, go hang out there for 5 minutes and you'll be aware of how much they could disrupt your actual moving day. U-Haul on Galvez is much more professional.
