Recently had worst customer service in a long while. Called the manager Summer the day after this experience, had to leave message on her phone, she texted back she was out of the office and would call me in 4 days, or I could email. Well, guess what? 2 weeks later no phone call or response to email. I should have listened to the numerous 1 star reviews on this facility! If you are looking for a trailer hitch installed, go to the 4.7 star rated Mike’s Trailer Hitches in Griffin. Below is the email sent but no response. Summer, Yesterday morning I scheduled and paid for a hitch to be installed on the Uhaul website for our Honda Pilot. A 3:30 and 4:00 appointment was available. I made the 4:00 appointment. Before heading that way for a 45 minute trip from Pike county I called customer service to see if the 3:30 was available and they confirmed that it was and she confirmed that it was the Mcdounough location ( I did not get that individuals name). I drove the 45 minute trip and arrived at 3:25 and upon arrival I asked Keith, who was working the front desk at that time, if I needed to check in with him or just go next door to where I saw the hitch installation bay? Keith immediately said "you are not going to get a hitch installed here today" in quite an "uncustomer" friendly manner and scowl on his face. Another individual, a woman who was more pleasant, came over to see if I had been helped and I told her not really at all and discussed with her my situation. She said they close at 5:00 and that there was no way I going to get one installed today, as Keith was the only one there to install them and that they close at five. At that point Keith interjected he was going to lunch. I am very disappointed I wasted 1.5 hours of my time and just as disappointed with the customer service from your location. Why was I able to pay and schedule my appointment online and confirm over the phone and not be able to have this installation completed? -Mike Kelly

Was left a voicemail the day before my scheduled hitch installation saying that my hitch was not delivered and I would have to reschedule. Received a second voicemail saying it arrived and I could come in as scheduled. I showed up and they told me they couldn't do it because they double booked my appointment. I had to demand they install it as scheduled and they seemed like it was an inconvenience to honor my appointment which was scheduled 2 weeks in advance. If you double booked an appointment, that has nothing to do with me. I was the only customer there at that time. Your customers are not a burden, so don't treat them as if they are.

I was very upset with the movers of this company and quite frankly if I had given the review on the day of it would’ve been just an expression of anger but as aworking professional I decided to just point out the areas they could improve in. Firstly, I’ll start with the dress code: there were two males there to work and a female there to supervise. One of the guys was in pair of basketball shorts. Had the look of “I was chilling then all of a sudden got an emergency call and had to leave the house.” The other guy was dressed ok (had in work pants). The supervisor however was dress similar to the guy in basketball shorts and on top of that she had on a pair of slides. The crew overall did not have a very professional look. Secondly, I would say that they were unprepared. It was a warm summer day with a chance of rain. (Not sure if they checked the weather report.) It did indeed start to rain and they did not have raincoats or ponchos and in the middle of moving they said that they cannot move in the rain because it’s coming down to hard. Mind you I was not moving furniture. My furniture had been moved already but I love flowers and plants so I had lots of plant pots in all variety of sizes, most of which were ceramic. I was livid at this point when they told me they had to stop moving my stuff because of the rain. I’m paying $85 and hour and because they were not prepared for rain they had to stop moving my stuff??? What??? Third and final thing I’ll address is the way things were packed. (Deep breath) I’ll just say this a few of my ceramic pots that I’ve had for years got chipped, cracked and broken because of how the 15’ truck was packed. It could’ve been packed so much better or tighter so that my things would not have had too much room to move around or slide. In conclusion if I can give advice, I’d say to dress appropriately. Wear work pants and boots and possibly a collared shirt. Be ready for inclement weather and have things packed just in case there’s a
