  Great way to move if you want to pack yourself over a period of 3 or 4 days, and don't know exactly what you want to pack until you are in the middle of it. You only pay for what you use, in 2' increments. Much less expensive than moving cubes per cubic foot, if you are willing to pack your stuff 7 feet high. And less stressful worrying about fitting. Plus the trailer is sturdier than packing cubes. Drop-off and pick-up was very convenient in Massachusetts. They were very flexible schedule-wise, and took the time to put it exactly in our driveway where we wanted it. Only negatives: 1. The bulkhead wall in our trailer was totally beat, and the top bar didn't function properly. 2. Our trailer was handed off in Salt Lake City to another trucking company, and then the trailer was dropped off at our new home by a third company/driver. The handoff took 2 to 3 days, and it was hard to determine when our trailer would be delivered. I guess they needed to unload the rest of the freight and load in new freight. But tracking it involved calling multiple different locations and companies.

  I was very happy with my experience. The customer service was good, and my stuff was all intact after a thousand-mile move. With the exception of one person (who just talked way too fast), everyone I spoke to on the phone or in person was helpful, polite, and informative. The fees were clear on the website and I was never charged anything extra, and I was able to change things like the insurance up until close to the move. Very user-friendly. I should say for those who are considering using a pod: I DID make sure to follow the "rules" - packed the pod with the weight evenly distributed, making sure to pack items close to the doors so there wasn't a gap. And my mom is an antique dealer so I know how to pack furniture and breakables so they won't shift in transit. I also didn't have much furniture - mostly boxes - ideal for moving with a pod.

  Moving to Puerto Rico isn't simple. But, this is a good way to do it. My only complaint is that the prediction of when we could get our stuff was inaccurate, because the PR government has to sign off before the cubes could be released.
