  I would give VKH zero stars if possible. To start, the crew showed up with no masks in the midst of a pandemic. The crew broke 2 of my floor lamps (worth $300) and dropped my spin bike creating a dent in the floor and chipping the wood surface of the condo I was moving out of. Before traveling to the my new residence, the driver double checked the travel/traffic time on google maps with me (it was 90 minutes), but they didn't arrive at my house until nearly 3 hours later (as an FYI - it only took me 1 hour to arrive at the new location) and then VKH charged me an additional 1.25 hours of travel time on top of the 3 hours. Once they arrived, they had no disposal shoe covers to protect my carpets, so I had to go out to buy them and provide the crew members with the shoe covers. The crew then asked to take a 45 minute errands and lunch break while they waited for rain subsided. I was told this break time would not be charged, so I agreed. But upon receiving a copy of the itemized receipt the next day, I found out that the time was charged regardless. I reported all these issues to the owner, Valdy, and was told he'd follow-up with me the next day. Three days later, I have sent 2 follow-up emails and placed 2 calls, with no response. Terrible service and very unprofessional. Take my advice, DO NOT HIRE. 9/17 UPDATE: Just finished unpacking my basement and found out these A$$holes also broke my 65 inch flat screen TV- see photos. These SOBs should be sued for fraud and put out of business. Also note, after you speak with the owner, Vlad, about your broken items and move issues, he'll say (and I quote) "people try to complain about their move experiences and get money back all the time, but I'll speak with your move team to find out what happened and call you back tomorrow". Instead, he'll block your phone number and your call will ring straight to voicemail, so you can't reach him again after he doesn't follow back up with you. VKH Movers claims this 'isn't typical of their service' but does NOTHING to remedy their mistakes (yeah right, read through all the reviews, which I should have done more closely, and you'll see this is very typical of their services). So unprofessional. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD YOU HIRE VKH MOVERS.

  I used VKH about a month ago to move from Silver Spring to Gaithersburg. I had used them a year earlier for another short local move and they had been quite good. This time I ended up with 2 movers and needed 3. One of the movers attempted to move my couch by himself and made a golf ball size hole in the wall of apartment I was leaving. At the same time he broke the light switch on the same wall. He did not tell me this had happened but did not deny it when I asked. I had emailed the day before about packing of framed artwork with glass. I was told they’d have supplies and would wrap them. Not true. The mover put one of the pictures between 2 pieces of cardboard and taped it together. I discovered after they had left broken glass on the floor from the picture. There was a lot of glass for me to clean up. Given that he had put the picture against a wall in a closet I am sure he knew it was broken. The move took almost 10 hours. After the mover called his boss a 3rd guy was sent but not until about - half hour before they finished. Prior to movers leaving I was asked to sign something saying everything was good. I told the guy I didn’t really want to sign it because the stuff was just piled all over and I didn’t know if it was fine or not. I did sign it - my mistake. I texted and emailed with the office and was told if I sent receipts for cost of new glass for picture and wall repair I would be reimbursed. I submitted documentation. $350 for repair of hole in wall and switch and $80 for picture. I have not heard a word since providing the receipts. See pictures of the damage. I do not recommend VKH despite having 1 positive experience with them. The cost of the move, tips and repairs was extremely expensive.

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I gave VKH movers my deposit and they were to move me this past Friday. They did not show and did not return my call or text until after several hours. The "office manager Sean" stated he didn't have anything to tell me so he didn't want to call me back. Yet they were four hours late. Then he finally tells me they had a flat and axel issue. They were getting it fixed and would move me Sunday 3-4. 4:30 Sunday rolls around again no movers. I call and text. They ignore me and have yet to call me back. I had to miss two additional days of work along with many friends who I had to rope into moving me out by my deadline. Who also had to take off of work. They are very unprofessional with no communication. I asked for my deposit back. They did not respond to me. I called the police and put in a report for fraud and called my bank. If I could review with ZERO stars I would give them ZERO. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. WAIT NO THEY HAD ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was extremely understanding on Friday and calm did not get upset. Actually I never yelled or was disrespectful in any of my communications with them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY LIE AND DO NOT COMMUNICATE.
