I wish I’d looked at these reviews before I picked this “company”. Communication beforehand was good except he called me “sweetie” which was really condescending. Called my husband “sir” and “boss” but I got “sweetie.” Cody (the owner) showed up w another guy for a 4hr job. We tried to show him everything that needed to be loaded but he was in such a rush he didn’t listen to everything then he couldn’t get everything loaded on the trial because he left it half filled at the front. Throughout the service he hounded me to fill out the Moving Help (U-Haul) survey even though they weren’t done yet. I managed to put it off for a while but then he told me to check the truck and said everything was in there except a bench from the porch. I had them rearrange some things to get it in there but little did I know that he missed a ton of stuff upstairs. He stood over me while I finished the Moving Help survey then checked it once I submitted it so I didn’t feel comfortable putting in an honest review. They only spent 2hrs and probably could have just made it 2.5 if they’d slowed the heck down and listened when we were trying to show them everything that needed loaded. Cody kept telling me “oh you can tell me if something isn’t right. We’re paid to do it right.” but his energy didn’t convey what he words conveyed and I had no idea they’d left 4 boxes and an office chair behind because they said they got everything out of that room. They didn’t even try masking. Showed right up w no masks on. As a pregnant person that makes me extra edgy so I tried to keep my distance but they really needed to be directed the whole time.

The company should be called We Do As Little As Possible and Poorly at That. I used the time before they arrived to start loading boxes, and had filled the Mom's Attic portion of the truck along with 20+ additional boxes by the time Cody and Dave arrived. I should have realized there was going to be a problem when he had me leave a rating AND a tip before they even got started. They set to work carrying the two-person stuff (desks, mattress, sofa, etc) out to the truck while my mom and I continued to pack some boxes. I did not supervise this because I assumed these guys had met some minimum proficiency requirements for professional movers. After about an hour and fifteen minutes, Cody came to me and said they got all the two-person stuff loaded. He added that they'd left us some space to put the remaining boxes in. I thanked him and they took off. Only then did I look inside the truck and realize that the empty space they'd left us was IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRUCK. They had effectively blocked off the back of the truck with a computer desk, coffee table, and recliner. There was at least a hundred cubic feet of space in the middle. I spent the next two hours repacking the truck to make room for everything. I'm not a professional mover, but I'm more qualified for the job than these guys. That minimum proficiency I mentioned? You pack the big stuff first. You pack it like a Tetris game. You utilize bookcase and shelf space instead of turning bookcases and shelves to face the wall. These guys lacked that proficiency. Don't get me wrong. These guys were great carriers. They carried stuff really well. If I ever need anything carried in the Indianapolis area, I would hire them again. But to pack a truck for a 437-mile drive? Nope.

I did use this company to pack my items for a move out of state. I would not recommend them for such a move for anyone else. We unpacked a week ago and I waited to write this review so I could cool off and still remain professional. Initially communication with Cody was solid. Upon arrival things got super chaotic while loading the moving truck. One person was suppose to be in charge but another person was telling him what to do and how to pack things and what was priority. The packing process left alot of open space in the truck which we detected during unload several days later. This caused further damage which was observed on arrival. Broken items included lamps, glass vases, plastic totes and many bent or broken items. Some of which happened during packing. I can understand things shifting during travel but this was a different situation. This company does have high reviews on some websites, such as uhaul but I think this is misleading. Probably it might be attributed to them requesting I fill out the review and payment and hovering over my shoulder while submitting PRIOR TO WORK BEING STARTED. Hope this helps educate others.
