I appreciate the selection, the hours, the fair prices and the military discount. But I've noticed an insidious trend in big box stores lately where employees are aggressively trying to get customers to buy into something that the customer did not come into the store for. For example, a young lady asked me to do a survey regarding drinking water in my home, and then solicited my phone number with the promise of only calling should I win a gift card. I did not want to give my phone number but did just to be nice, unfortunately. My fault: I know better and did it anyway. Well, the next day I received a call from Home Depot telling me I won a gift card - if I only was to accept a free water test. I told them in the store I already had a water system installed and was not interested. Home Depot management - you should be ashamed. This is such a shady practice. I'll probably be back, but only because there is not a Lowe's nearby. But, I will never talk to another employee again unless it's in regard to what I came in the store for. Former Happy Customer."
