Had a reservation for 3:45pm and called minutes before to say I was running a little late . No answer , that should have been a red flag then. Address on confirmation was incorrect, by time I got to the correct address it was 4pm and the open sign was off and nobody was there and it said they were open until 5. If you’re looking to rent , this is not the place to go! Anywhere but here , worst customer service ever !

Judy. First and foremost, I apologize for your inconvenience. Secondly, thank you for taking the time to communicate with us. Being concerned for my business, for you, and other customers, I did spend some time researching the problem. I have gone into U-Haul systems and reviewed the file notes and did speak with my site manager. It seems that much of the problem was created by "other U-Haul" folks. The reservation made was actually made by another location - the Bayshore U-Haul location (not us). Our involvement was limited. I am not sure what they told you, but we show no record of speaking you - or the Bayshore U-Haul location. Still, U-Haul should be better at handling their customers. I can only imagine your frustration that day. I do apologize for our office being closed when you arrived. Sadly, Covid and the economy has left us, like most, short-handed. Our manager, being the only employee at present, had to run to the bank before it closed - leaving the office locked and unattended. There were no U-Haul reservations, for our location, showing at the time...otherwise, our manager would not have left. This must have been an error by whoever made the original reservation (Bayshore location). We simply do not show it (still). In hindsight, our manager should have left a message on the door explaining that he would return soon. Simply put, the trip much longer than anticipated (oddly, because the bank, too, is understaffed). We are truly sorry for our small part in this fiasco. I would ask that you please consider changing our review...or changing it some. Honestly, it seems that the blame lies with the location that made the reservation - directing you to us - and not letting us know. I wish you the best in the future. Thank you for your time.

If I could leave no stars I would. Rude customer service. Got there to rent a truck and was told it was just given away and then needed to rent a truck I could have moved a house with which was not needed. Almost spent $300 for 8 hours of renting. Plus over $100 in gas to fill it up. Terrible experience. Guess like the man said we are children and don’t know anything. Guess since we don’t have grey hair we don’t count as a human being who has any knowledge of renting. Follow the rental stars everyone. Customer service is everything and if the owner don’t care about that then continue the way it is. We will never go there again no Reccomend to anyone. Before you charge someone’s card it would be nice to receive a phone call and reciept of charges.

I am so sorry for your bad experience. I cannot imagine this kind of service from Chris, our manager. He is usually so excellent - so customer service-oriented. Covi-19 and the recent hiring issues have really hurt us in our business, industry, and even in our country. We really are trying hard to accommodate everyone.
