  Edit: I've updated the review and rating to reflect the fact that the President of the partner company called, apologized and offered a full refund because of what I had to go through. This is a family owned business that can certainly improve their processes and I was assured they will do better next time. Original review: If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve seen an attractive offer from Cube Smart that includes a free truck and driver to facilitate your move. Think twice about using this service. The majority of their business is people moving items to storage thanks to their partnership with CubeSmart. Consequently, they can afford to have abysmal service since they have few return customers. From the outset communication with the moving company was poor and I was unable to reach them by phone anytime I called their offices. I received some emails but did not receive a quote or a formal confirmation. I was scheduled to move on a Monday during the 2-4pm window, which I had used to book the elevator in my building. At 2pm I received a call from the driver informing me he was stuck in the Bronx and would be an hour or so late. Around 3:30 I reached out to him again since I had not heard back and was unable to get in touch. I subsequently called the front office, which sure enough did not answer and did not call me back despite leaving a message. At 5pm I received a call from another driver who indicated the assigned driver had asked him to do my move instead. He finally got to my apartment at 6:15pm, 4 hours after my scheduled move. When the movers finally arrived, they assured me that they contacted the storage place and that they would stay open for us so I could drop my stuff off. We loaded the truck and agreed to meet at the storage place. On my way there the movers call me and inform me that they just arrived and it looks like the storage place is closed, despite assuring me earlier that they would remain open so we could drop the stuff. As a result, we could not complete the move that day, and I had to trust that my stuff would be safe overnight somewhere. The next day was more of the same. This place does not seem to have anyone effectively working in their front office. No one answers the phone and the drivers seem to make decisions that the front office is not aware of. They essentially do all of the admin work. That morning I finally got in touch with someone from the front office who indicated the president Jimmy would reach out to me to discuss compensation. As you can probably imagine, I did not hear from him and any attempt to make contact was dismissed. The driver gave me a noon-2pm window on Tuesday to finalize the move and kept pushing it back. They did not show up to the storage place until 6pm on Tuesday, more than 26 hours after my 2-4pm window on Monday. Many of the boxes were damaged as we unloaded them.

  Awful. I booked a move through CubeSmart. They make it extremely difficult to contact the business you have to leave a voicemail and wait for a text response. When I finally got a response, they gave me a three-hour window and then didn’t show up at all. They didn’t respond to any of my attempts to ask what was going on. I had to move everything myself. Don’t choose this company.

  The 2 guys who did my move were great. Professional and courteous; hard workers. Definitely made moving stress free. I believe names were Chuck and Mike.
