  Great experience all around. Moving Ahead picked up my furniture and boxes from NYC and brought back to LI where everything was kept in storage for a year, and then brought back into NYC upon moving back in. Storage and moving process were both extremely seamless and efficient! Larry was great to work with throughout the entire time!

  I used Moving Ahead end of August for a move from Manhattan to Long Island. Paul and his team were on time, efficient, and ultimately very handy. I had no problems with any aspect of the move. Their quote was competitive with local moving companies. Below are some of the things they did to make my moving experience great. 1. They came prepared to handle some extra stuff that I didn't give them a heads up on. 2. They spent no more than half an hour loading their moving truck, and they arrived at the final stop about 10m after we did (~30mi trip). There was no dilly-dally. 3. My custom wooden bed frame wouldn't clear the door space of the place I was moving into. They professionally figured out how it was put together, took it apart, and put it back together so that I could keep my wooden bed frame. They also walked me through and marked how I would have to take it apart if I ever wanted to move the bed out. 4. They took apart and removed for disposal an old freezer. 5. Overall pleasant attitude and demeanor. Paul and his team were great, and I will definitely use them again for any move.

  I've used Moving Ahead to move my furniture to Manhattan Mini Storage for 1 year while I lived in Europe. Upon return, I've discovered multiple damages made to my furniture when it was placed in the storage by Moving Ahead movers. My communication with Dan from Moving Ahead was unpleasant. First he said insurance company is sending the claim, then changed his mind to " it was long ago and I don't qualify" for insurance. From the start, the movers did not have enough wrapping material for the furniture; hence, the scratches. Do not recommend Moving Ahead due to the fact that the movers damaged my furniture, lost a table top and communication with Dan just made up my mind to write my first Yelp review.
