  A1 saved me. I had hired another moving company to help me move but the family buying my house closed a day late so I wasn't funded yet and the family selling me their home wouldn't let me move in until the sale was funded (understandable). The family buying my house said they would let me stay an extra day while we waited for the wire transfer to go but I still had to cancel with that moving company and lose my deposit. 1 hour later the funds arrived the my buyers went back on the agreement and told me my family had to be out that day. I called that moving company back and understandably, they had already reassigned their movers. In a panic I had to rent a Uhaul truck and their website showed A1 Moving Specialists with a lot of positive reviews. They sent 2 movers who had just moved another house even though it was the same day. The movers were incredibly professional. They introduced themselves to everybody helping us move and they took care of all of the difficult pieces to move so well. I would hire those same guys again in a heartbeat. They saved us and made what could have been a disastrous situation a good situation.

  I worked for a moving company for 8 years and know what it takes to make a smooth, professional move. We had all items packed and labeled according to what was in the box and specially labeled fragile where necessary. We had several glasses and heirloom China plates that were shattered that were in dish boxes, individually wrapped and in the own cell. We also had three different sizes of shrink wrap, two dozen moving pads and a couch cover. All of this was available for their use to protect the couch and chairs during the move and used the couch cover only when in the truck, never using it when moving it thus resulting in dirty hand marks all over. There was an inch square chunk broken off the inside arm from one of our chairs that had to have a heavy object fall on it, all of these damages could have been prevented if they would have been more professional. At my initial contact with David Rosier I did discuss insurance and the procedure for any damage, and he assured me that they never had any damage and were very careful and if there were any damage, he would take care of it. This was not even close to being true, he was combative had every excuse in the book that it was my fault. But what made me aware that he wasn’t going to address any of my concerns to my satisfaction was when I brought up that I had paid for 3 men for 4 hours but actually had 2 men for 4 hours and should have a refund for the third man, what I got from him was they had to work harder and longer because of the missing third man and there would not be a refund. I would highly NOT recommend this company if you value your possessions.
