  (This review was originally written in Dec of 2019. It was slightly revised in Jan 2022.) I hired Above All to move my mother's one bedroom apartment (basic bedroom and living room furniture) from Georgetown to Lakeway based on a neighbor's rave review and online reviews. That was on Nov 5, 2019. The two guys who did the move worked quickly and did a pretty good job. I also hired them, at the same time, to move some furniture around in my house. No major issues. However, they were more than two hours late arriving initially after assuring me, when I scheduled, that they would be on time. What disappointed me even more was that they didn't bother to call me to tell me they were running late or to keep me informed of their ETA. I had to call them to find out what was going on since the woman I scheduled with was adamant that they would be on time. I could have put that waiting time to good use. If they had given me a window of arrival, I wouldn't have had an issue, but when I scheduled them and asked what the arrival window would be, she said no window, they would be there at noon. At the end of the move, they didn't unload several small items, but delivered them a day or two later. When those items were delivered, I commented on all the nicks and scratches on one of the black stools. The matching stool was in pretty good shape. The woman who dropped them off took photos, but no one has contacted me about it yet and that was a month ago. They also still have a small step stool of mine. I've called them a couple of times and they acknowledge that they have it but told me they were too busy to deliver it too me. Also, when they were driving from Georgetown to Lakeway, about an hour drive, I told the movers that I was going to stop at a fast food place to pick up a drink and I would meet them at our destination. They told me they were going to also. I thought they were going to grab a drink somewhere and then come on, as I did, so I waited in my car on the street (so they could pull in my driveway) but they took awhile to arrive. I didn't think they were that far behind me. When they arrived, the driver told me that they stopped for a 30 minute break. I appreciate his honesty, but a little communication up front would have been helpful and I wouldn't have sat and waited in my car for 30 minutes. Yes, the movers are pretty good, although clearly they didn't deliver everything at one time and I'm still waiting on an item. They are not only terrible at communicating, but clearly I don't matter as a customer because, here we are a month later, and they still haven't delivered my stool and haven't bothered to at least let me know they haven't forgotten about me. I'm extremely disappointed. If you want movers that work fast and are careful with your stuff, hire Above All. But if you want good customer service, go somewhere else. In the future, I will. Jan 25, 2022. In response to the owner's question. I wrote this originally in 2019 soon after the move. I just edited yesterday to add clarity in a couple of places.

  I had such an amazing experience. This company did right by me. Not a scratch considering I am on the 3rd floor with oversized furniture. Everyone was sweet and professional. Robert, Ruben and Christine are out of this world. You don't meet people like this everyday and you also don't meet people that can handle such a workload as what I brought to Austin Texas. I wish I could give 100 stars. Well done and thank you for welcoming me to Austin in the best way.

  Had a great move experience and they were at a great price! They were professional, courteous, and very careful with all our belongings. We had 4 guys and two trucks for our 5 bedroom house and they were able to get everything completed in 6 hours. They know how to take apart and put together furniture. Overall just a great experience and made our move less stressful.
