Don’t get duped! The biggest downfall of our experience is that we were talked into purchasing the full (most expensive) insurance coverage of our items, under the promise that we would easily be cut a check if anything were damaged, no deductible. Of course one of our ikea dressers ($279) was damaged and the company refused payment saying that ready-to-assemble furniture isn’t designed for being moved. Interestingly, the other identical dresser was moved without any damage, so obviously their argument doesn’t hold water. To sum up, this company lacks integrity, so if that is important to you, don’t choose Allied Van Lines.

Please don’t hire these people. I’ve heard Two Men and a Truck are great and I’m sure Corrigan would do a fantastic job. Our “move coordinator” quit and no one told us. So when no one showed up on move day, we couldn’t get a hold of anyone. The crew finally showed up almost 6 hours late with a truck half the size of the one we were told. Our move was supposed to take one day and took two instead. The second day, they no call/no showed again. When they showed up 3 hours late, there were only two guys instead of four. The crews themselves were great, but the people they work for were unavailable, unhelpful, unreliable, dishonest, and rude.

The Lansing Morse moving team moved us over a two day period. They were patient, extremely careful and always pleasant. Even after working all day carrying heavy boxes up and down stairs they never lost their motivation and happy demeanor. We are very pleased with our experience with them and will recommend them to others in the future.
