Worst moving company I've ever worked with! Terrible communication, takes poor care of your belongings and gives zero regard for their customers. I hired American Van Lines to move my family cross country and on our contractually binding pick up day, they never showed up. No one on my moving team was reachable and the main office had no idea what was going on. Movers eventually showed up two days later at 8pm and the only updates I could get were ones where I called in to push for information. The delay in pick up cost me fines with my landlord and utility companies. The delivery was also a mess! My family was told a specific drop off window so we drove 20 hours to our new home only to find out they accidentally gave us the wrong delivery time. Our new delivery was another 5 days away leaving us in an empty home with no furniture. When our belongings finally arrived, the boxes where smashed and torn apart. I spoke with several customer representatives about our issues who promised they would help make our situation right and who now won't return my emails or phone calls. Save yourself the headache and use any other mover - American Van Lines is not a trustworthy company!

My realtor recommended Brian Maguire for American Ban Lines out of Pompano Beach. I called Brian and he came to our home and prepared a very detailed proposal for our move from SE Florida to NE Florida. Aside from a fair price for a major move, the estimate provided to me by Brian was spot on. The move took place exactly as I was told and it would be a four hour drive. So on the day of the move it took a crew of three, six hours to load up our two-story home of 21 years onto a truck, and another hour loading up more furniture from a storage unit I had on a second floor of a Life Storage unit also onto the truck. After this the crew brought the loaded truck to their warehouse to sit locked up inside overnight. The next morning they arrived at our new home in the early afternoon after a a five hour drive. And then another five plus hours of unloading, putting everything in place where told, a few items needed reassembling, a very well deserved tip for all and off they went. There were just a few minor damages (I expected way more damages.) and they told us of everyone of them, so we didn’t have to find them ourselves afterwards. They left our new home around sunset and had to travel five hours back home. Brian Maguire called me starting several days before the move and then again to let me know of each and every step during the move. He was extremely thorough and trustworthy. If we would move again (which we don’t plan on) I would hire them again no question about it.

From first contact with Kyle throughout complete experience, everyone was very professional, courteous, and answered every question or concern without delay. The packing team was great! Very efficient and cared about my house goods as if they were their own. Driver was incredible and gave us every detail of how our move would go and it happened just that way. Would definitely recommend this company and would use them again in a heart beat! Sheri S
