  Its a great sales pitch, but they don't own up to or follow through with any of it. Worst moving experience ever. Late on arrival (6 hours past their promised window), late on delivery (days). NO COMMUNICATION from them at all except to get paid. All of their voice mail boxes are full, so when you try and call to get an update you can't leave messages (not that they would return them anyway). They sub out the move to independent subcontractors who use rented Penske trucks so they can avoid weigh stations. They underestimate the cost of your move to get you to sign a contract and then hold your stuff until you pay them their "revised" price (that you don't know about until the day of your move). They don't unpack your stuff, they dump the boxes and beat up furniture and leave after asking for additional cash because it took them longer than they thought it would to unload your stuff. You are better off renting a truck and doing it yourself (and saving literally thousands of dollars and the headache of not knowing who actually has your stuff or when it will arrive). I attached a couple photos to show what the truck looked like when they finally arrived and the condition they left the driveway markers in. Oh, and I was promised, via text, a "refund" for the trouble and aggravation that this move caused but that shockingly never came through. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.

  DO NOT USE MOVING COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!! See the BBB of Georgia website, search for American Movers and Storage of Macon Georgia. They have 3 alerts about their poor customer service and questionable business practices. They will have great customer service and go out of their way to get your deposit and set up a move. They will say anything and then when another moving company comes to pick up your stuff they will not honor the moving contract and charge your more, hold on to your stuff for up to a month, and keep asking for money. You might pay double for the move and possibly have stuff missing or damaged. The insurance will pay 6 dollars per pound. So if they destroy your 10 pound flat screen TV you will get 60 bucks. We used them and it was a complete disaster. The moving company who picked us up wanted $600 more dollars, and when we refused to pay they drove off leaving us stranded without movers. I actually was relieved when they drove off because after 3 hours of trying to get them to honor the contract we felt like we dodged a bullet. Their 24 hour customer service line does not exist. You have been warned.

  Not sure where to start except to say I would recommend finding someone on the side of the street before I would ever recommend atlas moving to anyone. From the lies upon securing your contract to the completely & total lack of communication I wish I could give this company negative stars. The only thing that made my move ok is the small mom pops shops (state to state movers out of saint Louis) that were given my contract & did their best to help me and keep the false promises made to me by atlas. My items are actually still yet to be delivered & after calling atlas on Wednesday around 4pm est to speak to a supervisor, I was told they would call me back the next day & open at 8 am. I have them the entire day to call but not one person from atlas ever reached out. It is now 26 hours from me frantically calling to discuss my ongoing move & have received no call. When I finally called to talk to a supervisor I was told not one supervisor is in the office today. NOT ONE PERSON IN CHARGE IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING. Currently have no idea what is going on with my contract with atlas or my full truck of things. I asked to talk to the person who supervisors the supervisors so I can talk to someone today & was laughed at by the customer service agent, literally laughed at, & told that would be the owner & I cannot talk to him. This is one of those experiences you have nightmares about. So if you want the worst move experience of your life go with atlas but if you want to have a clear line of communications & to hire a company who fully takes on the entire logistics of your move then go with ANYONE ELSE. so disappointed it is unbelievable.
