The company had someone come and and walk through our home. We then received a not to exceed estimate quoted with two truck and 4 men. We had an Email from a gentleman that stated the guys would be out at the home by 730. Then the day before, we received a VM from a lady stating the guys would be leaving at 730am and getting to our home by 9-930 Monday morning. We had hired them to move from Watauga to Waxahachie. The day of, the guys showed up around 9. At about 11, my husband text me and said that one of the guys had a family emergency and was leaving with one of the smaller trucks. Which left us with One large truck and 3 men. Now let me be clear, we did not have a lot of BIG items!! We were compensated by them switching the $185/hr to $168/hr. When the guys arrived, everything was going fine. Guys were polite, had masks in etc. then some of the items they had brought in were damaged. It was a storage cube and it looked like it had been dragged through the gravel, on both ends of the unit! Second item, was being carried up by one of the workers that had two other heavy boxes on top of a box that was CLEARLY marked with fluorescent pink tap “ FRAGILE”!!!! It was my fine china wine glasses and upon opening the box, the glasses where shattered!!!! I made some comments to the guys and they didn’t really say anything. So by the end of the day which was about 5pm, we had asked what kind of compensation the company had for damaged property. They said they were trying to get a hold of their manager/boss to find out what they should do. So when the one mover finally sat down with us to collect payment, he said that typically the company does not compensate for damaged property that was not packed by them but the owner/manager was willing to give us $100 for our damaged property. But here’s the kicker… our bill was a couple hundred dollars more than the given quote. The guy said we were not charged for bubble wrap etc but after the small tokens they proved us, our bill ended up just slightly under our original quote??? So this was on a Monday. We had to make several more trips an hour each way because guess what…. We had tons of items still left at our house to load up in our personal vehicles. How do you hire a moving company with a huge Semi trailer and still have car loads of stuff to pack up. We even had to rent a uhaul which cost us another $200. I’m so angry will the lack of professionalism with this company. I tried contacting one of the owners via email bout it’s been a week since, and I’ve heard nothing!!!

Update to my previous post. My husband was contacted by the Manager of the business. We both had the opportunity to explain our experiences with her company and the movers themselves and what occurred that day. After several weeks, the manager had agreed to refund us our gas and Uhaul rental. We received the Cheque and are satisfied with outcome.
