  The worst experience I have had with a moving company. I hired them to unload my truck. Coming from out of town, I didn't know the layout of the apartment. We spent the first hour just trying to figure out the best place to park and unload. This work should have been done before I arrived. The team never introduced themselves or asked what was in the truck and was on their cell phones the entire time, saying how awful the job was. They walked as if they were on the beach, shuffling their feet and threw my stuff around. We had to move things out of the middle of the room to make space for the couch, kitchen table, and other furniture. There was no unloading plan and while we watched, several items were damaged from dropping them and hitting them against the walls. Once they were done, they never showed an invoice and said to pay them by Venmo, when I said to use the card on file, they called their boss and said I was refusing to pay. After filing a claim for the items they damaged including $1000 dresser, I received $60 back, and only after I email several times. This is the worst company with no customer service or care for your items. They don't understand that it's someone homes and precious and meaningful items. I will never use them again and I don't recommend anyone else. Book Best of the West Movers at your own risk! I would give 0 stars if I could!

  Hi Crystal We’re sorry you had a bad experience. When it is time to move again, give us a call and we can win you over. Also here are a few tips to make your next moving experience a pleasant one. When you are moving into an apartment on a busy street (especially in the SLC avenues). Just know that parking is going to be a challenge. Next time, If you decide to rent and drive your own U-Haul again. You could park the U-Haul in the ideal position, before the moving crew arrives. When our team arrived, all the ideal street parking spots were occupied. Our team did their best to find a parking spot quickly within proximity to your apartment. Next time you pack and drive your own U-Haul. Remember to use padding and blankets. It appeared that you used some sort of wrap material, but thick blankets and padding is much better at protecting furniture. Also securing items to the walls/floor of the truck can prevent collision damages. We can say with 100% confidence that all the damage to your belonging occurred during transit. Next time, consider hiring us for both the load and unload. We have the padding and the expertise needed to protect your belongings during transit. If you are limited on space. Know that sometimes the only way to make things fit in a room is to stack it. I see nothing wrong with the photos of your belongings stacked in rooms. If you are wanting your belongings put away and organized, we would happily oblige. Just know that moving companies bill by the hour and organizing each room would add significant time to your bill. Our movers were told where to put your belongings and they did just that, stacking things as needed to make it all fit. Lastly, we push all our movers to work efficiently and safely. If our movers were not performing at optimal levels that day we apologize. However, it is worth noting. Your total billing hours were on par with other (2-man 1 truck) averages. We hope next time you have a better experience. Thank you.

  I had originally scheduled to have four guys come but Hyrum and Jett worked so hard and so fast that I didn’t even notice they were only a team of two until they were almost finished up. They were very professional and took great care moving our belongings into the new house. Definitely worth the money! I’ve already been recommending you guys to family and friends and I’d leave two five-stars if I could! Thanks guys!

  We hired these guys just yesterday to come and pack up our home. Although they were very nice and they did work hard, we had a few issues. 1. Several nice frames were just thrown in boxes and the ones that were left out were hardly wrapped. We had to go buy more bubble wrap so the frames were actually wrapped properly. 2. We asked for some of our things to go to a storage unit and some to our rental, and a lot of the stuff was mixed up. Now I need to go back through our storage unit to find things we need. 3. Came back today to do some last minute cleaning, and they forgot two entire cabinets in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms. Not a huge deal but when you pay a crew to come pack your house, you expect them to get everything. Like I said, these guys were nice and they did work hard, but there was not a lot of packing experience.
