  I reserved a truck with this company with plenty of time In advance. I missed a call from them the afternoon before my pickup to tell me they didn’t have any trucks and couldn’t help me. I was traveling across country and didn’t get the message and showed up to the pickup location only to be told they have nothing for me any closer than 100 miles away. This company is trash. Go with uhaul, I would rather pay a little more to make my moving experience go smoothly. My whole relocation process has been effected now. Thanks Budget, you really dropped the ball.

  I made arrangements to pick up a truck a few days ago. I was renting it for 4 days, paying for an extra day because I was driving 400 miles to the town to load my belongings that were in storage and move them to my new home. I get a call the day before pick up and was told that the size truck I needed wasn't available where I planned to pick it up. I could get a 16' truck there, but the 24' truck I reserved was not in service. I was told I could travel 50 miles (one-way) to pick up a 24' truck. I told them I had to go look at that truck and show the person helping me move the things I had to transport. When I called back that night there was no one there. I called first thing in the morning and was told then that the nearest 24' truck was in another state that was over 90 miles away from where I was. That wasn't acceptable and I asked what they could do about it.....nothing. No only were they not helpful....they were completely unapologetic and didn't have any concern that they left me on the day I had movers arranged to load the truck without a truck to load. U-Haul saved the day. I will NEVER USE BUDGET FOR ANY KIND OF RENTAL. I highly recommend U-HAUL. I was able to get a truck, the day I called and was able to pull it off. Poor customer service doesn't begin to describe it. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE is more like it.

  I will start off by saying that I would give zero stars if I could. I reserved a 16 ft truck two weeks ago. The reservation confirmation email states that if I cancel within 48 hours then I will be charged a $50 fee. My reservation is for tomorrow and today at noon (it's Memorial Day) they called me to tell me they do not have a truck available for me. I told them that was unsatisfactory to call me the day before because it gives me little time to rebook a truck and I was informed that is their policy. They offered a phone number to rebook through another budget location in the area, but they would not help me contact the other locations. I highly suggest going with another rental company.
