  They never disclosed that they were not a moving company, they hire out. We did not receive all of our stuff, they held it hostage & charged us more after they picked our stuff up. The people who delivered our belongings spoke very little to no English. Boxes marked books were on top of boxes marked fragile. Had a lot of broken items. I only have few photos left, deleted most of them. They would promise a delivery date and we would fly out to the house then they would not show. It turned out to be more costly than we ever expected or thought! We did receive a call from an agent from Texas asking us questions about the company, told us they had arrested the owner and the others were under investigation. The office they had in Texas didn’t exist they were out of Florida. The agent informed us he was forwarding all the information he had gathered from us and over 25 others to Florida. He said unfortunately they will eventually move to another location and change up their name. Please beware of this company! Especially Paula! If that was her real name!

  Budget Van Lines operates as a moving broker. They arrange long distance moves for a booking fee. While they claim that they will assist with any issues, they abandon you as soon as the pickup is complete. Epic failure in communicating with the movers they brokered. A failure to fully vet the movers they brokered. I was extorted at both the pickup and drop off and Budget abandoned their so called agreement to stay involved. James Beck is a fraud and refuses to answer emails and phone calls as does customer service. The moving company that they selected for me had a horrible online reputation and when asked about it, I was told they did good work for them. James toured Budgets reputation, but it doesn't matter because they end up being simply the booker and claim no responsibility after the fact. It took over three hours to get the amended contracts to the movers. They refused to load the truck during this period creating much stress. James walked away and has ignored all attempts at communication. The moving company stole over 11k worth of goods and refuse to communicate as well. They contracted with some no name driver to deliver my goods who refused to provide name, business name, or DOT number. He extorted money for a shuttle which I already paid for in the original agreement and stated my items would be placed in storage if I didn't pay his demanded amount. He also didn't have an accounting of my total box count, refused to stay while I verified that my items had all arrived. 14 boxes were unaccounted for and none of the movers involved will communicate regarding this or where my goods might have gone which tells me that the items were stolen. It was the shrinkwrapped bins that were taken, this is not coinincidence. DO NOT TRUST BUDGET VAN LINES under any circumstances. They abandon you at the first opportunity. I would give zero stars if I could.

  DO NOT USE this company. Too many things to list in detail. Not honest. Wrong in most information they give over the phone. Truck was late in drop off at old place. So many phone calls and emails, all frustrating. Our stuff has been at final terminal a week or so some of the interactions have stated while others give different answers. They continue to not schedule the truck to be delivered to our house. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
