  Many of the high reviews are probably from military folks whose move is paid for by the government. They charge 175 an hour. Actually worked for 3-4 hours but charged us for 5. We even supplied pizza and drinks which actually cost us an extra $85 for the break they took and ultimately charged us for. To be clear, I have no issues with them taking breaks or even a lunch break but the client should not be charged for it. Also did not use the couch covers or moving blankets and did damage to our sofa!!! Highly recommend mom and pop moving companies if you just need the manual labor. Very disappointed!! Recommend All my Sons Moving Company for local moves. They moved the same household for half the price and did a much better job.

  Thank you for your feedback, being a small family-owned business, we appreciate any and all reviews from our customers. I would also like to thank you for supplying our workers with pizza and drinks, although that was not necessary, I'm sure our workers really appreciated it as they took their lunch break. I do apologize that you were unsatisfied with their work though, looking over our records I noticed that your move was a 4 bedroom household moving to an upstairs apartment and that you paid for 2 movers doing labor-only services (hence the $175.00/ hr price) which they finished in 5 hours. Normally, for such a large move, our labor-only services have a minimum of 5 hours as well as a minimum of 3 movers priced at $225.00/ hr, as it normally takes 3 people to complete a move of this size in about 5 hours. In reference to your dissatisfaction with how they performed the job (eg. damages, missing couch covers, or moving blankets) We normally cover all damages and supplies costs but I did notice that when booking you signed a waiver to opt-out of damage coverage & supplies issued to reduce the total cost for moving. Due to this waiver, I, unfortunately, cannot cover any damages and my workers were instructed to not bring or use anything that was not supplied by the customer directly. According to our itinerary report, there were SIX (6) moving blankets supplied and used, ONE (1) single couch cover to be used for an L-shaped sectional which according to the report was too small of a fit and therefore was not used, as well as ONE (1) mattress cover supplied and used.   Have had little experience with moving companies but was so impressed with the time Donald took to educate us about what to expect. He was prompt with keeping us updated about appointments and took great care in protecting our belongings. If ever we need furniture moved, Central Texas Movers will be the only one we call.

  The process began with a very detailed and thorough estimate and briefing. The move was scheduled 2 weeks after, in which I was given a confirmation call the night before. The morning of the move, Donald and a very respectable young man began promptly, safely, and effectively moving my items. The move from start to finish was accomplished between 9am-12pm. I highly recommend Central Texas Movers.
