AVOID DENALI GROUP/PACIFIC MOVERS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Worst military move in my 17 year career! I'm not sure where to begin with this company because they were so horrible. 3 packers took 5 days to pack my 1400sq ft home. The first day they worked from 8:30-2:30 pm and only packed half of my two car garage items and my firearms. Day two the movers walked to my house from their hotel and told me they lost the keys to the moving truck they night before. Mind you all of my weapons we're in the truck with missing keys which remained abondoned at the local hotel until the final day when they called a locksmith. The head guy in charge (who told me he was retired military) did not keep a close eye on any of the other packers who were very new and not padding any items and really just dumping stuff in boxes. He complained each day about how much household good we had and that the company didn't give them enough time to pack my house. Despite how these packers complained about how large a job they had they cut off for 20 minute smoke breaks every hour and only worked until about 4pm. The 3rd day which was suppose to be the final day the supervisor told me they didn't have enough crates and their time was up so their boss directed them to load the truck up with the remainder be of my HHG and pad them with our mattresses and they would be crated at the warehouse in Anchorage which was 6 hours away! I politely refused and told them they will need to bring more crates and finish the job properly. This made them mad and they called the main office while I called the local TMO to voice my concerns and complaints which was about once to twice a day at this point. Denali finally decided to send another truck up with more crates and packing materials and I was told it would arrive by 8pm and they wanted to work until 1am and finish the job. Having two small children I was in no way going to torture myself and my family with letting this company rush a job with our belongings until 1am! I refused and they became very angry. They hopped in the second truck that arrived around 8:30 pm and litterally peeled out of my driveway tires sqeeling and all. On the 5th day they finished around 3pm on June 6th 2018. Fast forward a month later and we still dont have our stuff despite only moving about 600 miles away! The required delivery date of June 25th was not met, not even close! Fast forward again to July 20th, 2018 our HHG is ready for delivery! We still expected the worst. And the worst was what we got. Damage gallore! Boxes were litterally falling out of crates. The crates were packed poorly and contained light boxes on the bottom which were completely pancaked by heavy boxed items stacked on top. Several items were missing to include 5 high value original canvas oil paintings, and a custom build live edge table that was completely destroyed with legs broke off and appear to be struck with a sledge hammer several times (it probably was). The movers also packed all my alcohol which included roughly a dozen unopened bottles of expensive liquor which not suprisingly never arrived with the rest of our shipment. I had separated all non allowed items prior to our pack out which included gun powder, aerosols, gas cans, propane tanks (which were half full) and all of this was packed in my shipment. They simply did not care about our stuff or anything at all. When I brought this to their attention they told me there was no way to find out which crate they were packed into and it will just have to be noted on the shipment. ...it wasn't. I now have an open investigation going against this company through my receiving TMO. I hope to God that they terminate their contract with the government so no other military family has to go through what we are dealing with right now. If you are assigned this company for a military move do everything in your power to REFUSE this shipper DENALI GROUP ALSO KNOWN AS PACIFIC MOVERS!!! If you are not in the military please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

This is not a company I would ever go with again. Besides some of our things coming up missing, almost everything was damaged 🤦🏾‍♂️. Literally all of our things were damaged.

Denali has performed moving services for my last four moves. Each time the crews were patient with my requests. They took precautions to pack and secure all my items and made my moves less stressful. Great customer service from my initial request through the completion of my most recent move in October. Thanks Denali!
