  BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! On 6/23/2020 I received a quote from Purple Heart Moving company to move my belongings from TN to SC for $4482.56. Purple Heart assured me this was a very high quote to allow for any errors or extra items. The movers were to arrive on June 30 but there was a 2 day window in contract. We communicated with movers that we were closing on our home on July 2nd and really needed to be moved on June 30. Purple Heart hired another company to move us, Dependable Mover out of New Jersey. We were unaware that this was the process. They called on June 30 to say they would not arrive until the morning of July 1st. Then on July 1st movers did not arrive until 5:00pm. Again we were scheduled to close on our home the next day and had to be out of home. Once they arrived they said the estimate was wrong and our furniture was much heavier than our quote. They increased the price by $3264.99 with a total cost of $7747.55. I was so upset and did not have this kind of extra money. But it was the night before we had to be out of our home, after 5:00 pm and too late to find another mover. We had no choice but to pay the extra money. Movers were not able to move all belongings so we had to rent a truck and finish moving our belongings the next morning. We had not closed on our new home in SC and items were to be placed in their storage and we would let them know delivery date. I have been trying to get in touch via multiple phone calls each day, text messages and emails with Purple Heart Moving Company and Dependable movers for 7 days now to schedule delivery of items. No response form Dependable movers and Purple Heart occasionally will answer their phone and say they will be in touch with information. We are concerned we will never see our belongings again. Please Help Us!!!

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They started by changing our pick up date for our cross country move a day before they were scheduled. I emailed they 5x confirming the date and they confirmed, then less than 24hours before, they moved to the following day. They wouldn't provide me a drop off date, making my family and I extend and move Airbnb 2x during COVID. When they did show up the movers wouldn't carry the furniture to the second floor even after charging me, in cash, to do so. The movers then got in a verbal altercation using the worth profanity you could imagine. My 72 year old mother had to leave as she was having a panic attack. My father and I unloaded 90% of the truck while the worker folded the blankets. It was a disaster. They broke my TV, two pieces of furniture, knocked a door of the jam, and when we filed a claim on 9/28, we have not had one follow up even tho I have emailed the claims department 10x. The sales person we originally talked to said that she would assist with any/all issues as they arise. She avoided us the day the contract was signed. Also, my quoted price was roughly $5500, we paid over $8000. I cant urge you enough to not use this company, you will be disappointed.

  Dependable movers inc did a fantastic job moving us from a four bedroom home to a two bedroom apartment. They were very friendly and professional packing all of our belongings with care and expertise. All of the boxes were marked clearly and all of our large pieces of furniture were wrapped and handled with care. They even drove a few items to my daughters house before arriving at the new destination. Unpacking all the boxes in the apartment was smooth and without a hitch. The movers even offered to help us unpack. We highly recommend Dependable movers inc to anyone considering a move.
