This was, by far, the worst experience with a local business in Lexington that I have ever had. We wanted three or four items moved (we had done 90% of the move already to our first house), mainly things that were just too heavy for my wife and I to tackle our our own. The appointment was at 10AM and everything was pleasant with a check in the night before up until about 9 the next morning. On our way to meet the truck at our old apartment, we were called by the truck crew and told they would be a half hour to 45 minutes late. This was fine, we needed to pack our own car first anyway. After an hour and a half we called again and were told they had just wrapped up and we’re coming directly to us. After 3 hours, we decided to give up mercifully. The crew and dispatch were not picking up their phones. We left messages telling them not to come. At 3 hours and 30 mins, they finally showed up in a truck anyone could rent, with no insignia or sign they worked for a company. They were dressed poorly, were laughing, and as they approached the complex one of the guys was still doing his shorts up and closing his belt. By that point, we had already bitten the bullet and hired Wildcat. I sent them away, and rather than deal with a what I assume is a truly insane refund process, called my credit card company to dispute and remove the charge. Should have read the reviews, this company is a SCAM. Never listening to the person who recommended them again. Also, if they try to say they were never contracted with me, I’ve taken screenshots of the charges on my credit card that I am disputing and will absolutely go after them. For the love of all that is holy and good in this world, hire literally anyone else for your moving needs. This company continuing to exist while there are many excellent options around the city is an argument against survival of the fittest as a concept.

    Response from the owner

I take great offense at your statement that our company is a SCAM. We have been in business since 1985 and have moved literally thousands of people and have many satisfied customers. Granted, our interaction with you today was not our best moment, as one of our assigned crew people was sick this morning and our alternates were not available until later in the day. I am curious what difference it makes if your washer and dryer is moved in a Penske truck that is well maintained by a National company, or a truck with a mover's name on it? Also, your opinion of the crew's clothing really doesn't make a lot of sense - do you expect movers to wear suits and ties to move your washer and dryer? There is no insane refund process - as soon as you cancelled your move we put through a refund. I am truly sorry your experience with us did not go as you or we would have liked - however sometimes things are beyond our control and happen. We certainly would have made it up to you in a reduced price or extra work. Astonished that you would actually call your credit card company to dispute the charges before requesting or waiting for us to refund your money or calling us a SCAM. How does that scam work by the way? So you call a company to move you and they take your credit card information and then charge your card . . . then you dispute the charge . . . and you get your money back. Not sure how that benefits our company or how that is a scam. We made zero money off of this job today. That isn't your fault obviously, but not sure again how this is a SCAM?!? We showed up late. That's what was wrong. Again I apologize for that - but certainly our company is not a scam and really have no idea how you would even think that or "worst experience with a local business in Lexington that I have ever had." - You know if this is the worst experience you have ever had with a local company (not just moving company) I can tell you some stories and you should consider yourself very very lucky that this is the worst experience you have ever had with a local Lexington business. We strive to do the right thing, go above and beyond, and do a good job for everyone. When we screw up we admit it and try to make it right if it can be made right.

Very unpleasant experience. If you want to pay movers and do most of the work yourselves, please go ahead. We sent them on their way and ended up renting a Uhaul the next day. Talked to the manager twice about numerous issues, (when they decided to call back -voice mail full and no response to email.) One person out of the "crew" tried but had no help. Damaged furniture and walls. No way anything would have been completed if my whole family didn't jump in to motivate/help/bring furniture to load in the truck as they waited for us to deliver to the lift gate. Very, very, disappointed as we just bought our first house. Feel taken advantage of.

    Response from the owner

Have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of this situation. We never allow customers to move items on our moves because it violates our insurance. If we damage anything (which is extremely rare - we are known to be extremely careful and to treat everyone's property as if it is our own and it is priceless - maybe the furniture or item is not worth much money but the sentimental value may be priceless to the owner), we have it professionally fixed or we replace it. One thing you have to realize too is we are responsible for what we move - and we have to work the entire day. Sometimes people get upset if they think we are working slowly - but we are there for the long haul - not getting burned out in the first 45 minutes and then drag the rest of the day. We work steady and carefully and get the job done without damage to the furniture and items we are moving or the structures they are being moved in and out of.

Didn’t show up, and would not answer the phone. My wife and I ended up having to pack the truck ourselves. Finally got ahold of them that afternoon and after explaining what happened, the guy hung up the phone. Steer clear!

    Response from the owner

We never contracted with Nathan Trent to move anything for him. I am sorry that someone else didn't show up but that wasn't us. We would have called him if we were not going to show up or be late. We move hundreds of customers every year. We wouldn't be in business if we didn't show up to do our moves. Very sorry that happened to you but it wasn't our company.
