Do not I repeat do not use this company for your move. Upon initial contact they had told me that I would be the first one on the truck so that if I was off on my inventory it wouldn’t be that big of a deal that I would just have to pay the difference. When they showed they showed with a small rental truck that was already half full. They did not have room to put all of my things. Although the two gentlemen that came to load the truck were very nice and seemed to do a pretty decent job at securing my property. That was the end of it. The truck that showed up to deliver my things came in a different truck by themselves and not secured. When they opened the back of the truck my things were sprawled all over. They wanted me to pay and sign before they would unload I showed them the money order and said I would not pay until the truck was unloaded. They got someone on the phone that said the contract stated that they had to be paid before the truck would be unloaded so I gave him the money order and my husband signed the paperwork. The driver had hired two local young men to unload the truck they had no moving experience did not know how to put anything together The driver had them unload the truck into the garage and the driveway and then he left taking with him our paperwork. I was missing several things things were broken and damaged. When I called the company Rachel who was my contact with customer service said she was sorry to hear that and gave me the number to claims. I have contacted them twice and they have said that they are not affiliated with this company. I’ve emailed and left messages with no response. Don’t be fooled like me hire a reputable moving company these guys are brokers and they could care less about your property.

Absolutely horrendous. Where do I start? Their quote was $1K short of where I actually netted out even though I gave an accurate portrayal to the broker. They enlisted a local moving company from NJ, ID Noble, who were six hours late to pack me out. They upsold me on my original quote and ended up paying 1K more than originally quoted. I originally informed the quote team them that I had six art pieces, which they then held me hostage and generated a new quote on the spot to crate (6) of each art piece (I don't own Picassos and they did not arrive in wooden crates). In addition, they informed me that I had taken up 400+ SF of space in the van, when the quote was for 250SF. Mind you, my tiny studio wasn't even 400SF, so not sure where that was generated. Movers that work with Household Logistics only accept cash, postal money order (they don't accept a money order from the bank), or Zelle. Shady. Yet they're more than happy to hold you to an up sell and not begin your move until you agree to the new quote they seem to love to upsell folks on. Let's get to my move, I informed the movers that my new apartment in LA would be ready for move-in on July 1. It took them a month just to dispatch my furniture to LA. I packed out on June 1, movers didn't arrive til July 22. The communication was terrible from the Household Logistics team, all I would get were vague messages telling me that they were "Working on the schedule." Once received, I'm missing a box. Two of my lamps were destroyed (as they weren't even wrapped in a box, just thrown in as a mess (See pics). Make sure you check the box for premium insurance from them as I am only set to receive about 16 bucks from all their damages...... See pics, absolutely horrendous. Shady practices and upselling. I've moved with many other moving companies within NYC such as Dumbo Movers and after many pleasant experiences, these guys really standout as horrendous. Overall, Household logistics does not communicate, has terrible quoting skills when working with third parties and also no protection to consumers who were misquoted and clearly does not work with reliable third parties if they're not handling the work themselves. Should really re-consider enlisting the work of ID Noble.

Be careful with the FAKE positive reviews on here! Another review site shows they got flagged from too many reviews coming from the same IP address!! If I could give Household Logistics/Official Van Lines 0 stars, I would!! I never leave negative reviews... on the contrary, if you look at my reviews, they're all positive. However, I feel like it would be an absolute disservice to folks out there looking for a moving company to not warn them about this garbage "moving company". DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use Household Logistics for your move! SEVERAL items arrived in horrific condition. Items and pieces of furniture were shattered and damaged to no repair. But that's not even the worst of it... the contract I originally signed right after I received my estimate had DIFFERENT terms and conditions than the document I signed when the movers showed up to move my belongings. I found this out upon drop-off of my items at my new home when I was charged additionally for the number of stairs. The first contract stated no more than 20 stairs before they add a fee, and the second stated 8 stairs. I've included pictures in this review as well. To add to this, I filed a claim with them over a month and a half ago (the day after my move was complete) and sent a lengthy email with descriptions and pictures of everything that was damaged, as well as the pictures of both misleading documents. Since then, I've been communicating with a useless person named Jeff from Household Logistics/Official Van Lines via email. To make a painfully long story short, I called Anthem Claims on my own today to check on the status of my claim and Diane from Anthem said there is NO record of any claim filed under my name!! The sad part is... I'm not shocked. I called Household Logistics/Official Van Lines immediately after and asked to speak to a manager and the representative who answered the phone said the manager was in a meeting and they would give me a call right back. I have yet to hear back. I want to leave you with this... on top of what I already mentioned, my move ended up costing DOUBLE, I repeat, DOUBLE what they originally estimated! I provided exact measurements for items that I knew were fairly large. Ex. "92 inch sofa". And my estimate for the number of boxes I had was only off by 2! And I will say it once more... I ended up paying DOUBLE the amount of my estimate because of insufficient cubic feet estimated space in the truck, and illegally using two different fine prints in their contracts which resulted in extra fees*. Sadly, there are more aggravating events that took place, but these were the main ones that I had to share. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and reaching out to an attorney to see what can be done with regards to the two different contracts. Save yourself and look for a moving company elsewhere!!!!
