  J&S was a good (and local) solution to our needs. They provided just the right service for moving my elderly folks into a retirement home about 7 miles distant. Jennifer & Shaun's crew was Steve and Duane for this project. They were on time, attentive, and willing to do what it took to handle our move efficiently and safely. Although ours was a relatively simple move, they went beyond what I expected in this day and age. On the administrative side, paperwork was quite minimal; the office was very responsive to our calls; and since they are a small local company, scheduling was handled very well. All in all, our experience was very good with J&S Moving.

  Just want to express complete satisfaction using J&S. Steve was a perfect gentleman and handled all our furniture as if it belonged to him. J&S arrived at the expected time, once Steve assessed the job, I don’t believe I can remember someone working tirelessly to load our furniture and deliver to my new location. I will recommended J&S any time. Great professional demeanor and hard workers. Oh, the price was better than I expected. Thanks J&S John, Jennifer. Latrobe PA

  Sorry this is long, but you need to read! They wrapped wood furniture in blankets only if you asked for each piece. they placed best face of furniture directly on metal floor of truck with no padding, black metal residue was ground into finish and rubbed through to bare wood, metal bed rails were placed in truck next to bare wood furniture grinding grooves into nice wood furniture, one piece of wood furniture appeared to survive trip undamaged out of about 30 pieces, crew boss described extensive damage as “normal wear and tear”. We THOUGHT loading went well, had to pay before unloading, were disgusted with what we saw when they opened the doors to the two trucks, They used a screwdriver to chisel a 3/8 x 4 x 4 inch piece out of an oak table to get it through a doorway instead of taking the table around to a larger door. They took two weeks to replace glass broken in bookcase. The walls and oak hardwood floors of the destination house suffered some unnecessary damage due to the crew boss’s rush to unload. We finally told them to leave before they reassembled 3/4 of the furniture which we had paid them to do. My wife and I were speechless from the damage and recklessness of the unloading. I waited 5 weeks to post this because we initially liked the crew and THOUGHT they were being considerate and taking care of our belongings. Their “ pay first, hit and run “ approach to moving may likely be their undoing. I rated them as 2 stars only because they were friendly and worked hard in the beginning. We were even foolish enough to give them good tips BEFORE they opened the truck doors to unload (their unloading policy to pay first). Live and learn. Hope you payed attention reading this! As a woodworker, I’ll be a year or more repairing the damage!!!

  This is completely false information We asked for deposit week before move and asked that entire bill be paid before we depart back to our state !! And the wife paid the bill and very generously tipped us all for doing a fantastic job !! Her words !! Both customers were on site the entire move and nothing was reported !! No issues The husband kept adding old decrepit furniture from garage that was left uncovered in elements and from the attic as well , most of it was falling apart and we showed customer and he was fine because he made it ? They were billed 10 hours and the move took 15 hours but we didn’t complain or ask for compensation!!we used over 100 pads and have pictures as well on this job and put pads on floors of new house !no issues happened at either house and nothing was reported not even a call ! We broke a piece of glass and returned it 5 days later because it was a weekend and they were closed so that’s wrong info as well ?? I repeat no damages happened while we were there !! But months later there is a issue !!! The screw driver story never happened as the husband was there with us the entire time !! And watched us load everything and saw what the trucks looked like so I’m not sure what’s going on here ? No damages happened and customers tipped us big time and there words best movers we have seen ???? Thank you and god bless. The owner was on site of move during entire time !! Never was asked to leave ? We staged the entire new house and had no damages to nothing !!! All unfounded and unreported ??
