  We have moved several times with little or no damage to our furniture. Lewis and Michael not only damaged MULTIPLE pieces of our furniture, but also scratched the new tile at our house and left gashes in the drywall. In addition, when they chipped a corner off the molding on the china hutch, they tried to glue it back on before they took it off the truck, but did a terrible job lining it up. It will now cost me even more to have it repaired. My multiple attempts to get the company to compensate me for this went nowhere.

  Dear Mrs. Woodward, I was very concerned when I read your review on Google and immediately instituted an inquiry to investigate what happened. Lewis and Michael handles over 4000 moves a year and we want to make sure every move is looked after properly. I spoke with your Account Manager and with our Claims Adjuster and found the following. We compensated you in full in accordance with the valuation protection option you chose. I also asked about the property damage you said occurred and there is no record of your mentioning any damage in your correspondence to us, in fact we have a signed form stating that there was no damage. If it was noticed after the move was completed, please can you forward pictures of the damage and email them to our Claims Adjuster so that we can address the issue as soon as possible.   Definitely overcommitted on schedule making us wait on our beds, furniture, clothes etc. They worked hard with Atlas to try and provide a solution, but the upfront communication and overbooking could have been avoided. We mostly blame Atlas for overbooking and Tim with Lewis and Michael pushed for our stuff to ship to our new house. Thanks for working hard to find a solution.

  Poor communication with my move. Took 8 hours to move my small one bedroom apartment. Due to it taking so long I could not completely wrap everything up in the city I was moving from. I had to pay for boarding my dogs and flights to go back and finish. Broke a large mirror before loading it into the truck. Didn't even clean up after themselves. One of the movers has a very awkward conversation with me about how the money for the mirror will be taken out of his pay and he could not afford it. They got my business and did not contact me about next steps. They took my items and did not contact me when it would be delivered. Only provided a range of a week. I waited and finally asked and was told the very next day. No time for me to make arrangements. I asked what hours they would deliver no information. Until I complained about the lack of communication then I only get the time frame but not apologies etc... To receive my reimbursement for my mirror. No one would call me back until I threatened to escalate. Accidents happen. Mirrors get broken. However, dropping the ball and just not caring at every step in the process is unacceptable. Don't use them and don't use Atlas Moving.
