Dishonest company. They damaged my furniture and I was assured by the lead mover after he talked to the co-owner(Stormy) that they would pay for the repairs. After the move and payment they won’t answer my calls. Very strange behavior when the bill was more than $6,000 and the repair they agreed to pay for was $600. I wonder why their business is going downhill?…. Do yourself a favor and use someone else, anyone else.

I have used Margaret’s Moving and Storage at least six times locally. This time I needed family heirlooms moved from Tennessee to Kentucky. I knew I could trust Margaret’s team to be efficient, timely, and secure. Margaret and her team have always provided excellent service and peace of mind. This move was very important to my family and everything was done perfectly. We used Margaret's to move our home 5 years ago. I've refrained from making a negative review because the experience was incredibly frustrating and nearly cost us money. I just wanted it to be over. But after the third email I received requesting that we leave a review, I decided that if they were not aware enough to understand why I wouldn't leave a review that I should go ahead and share my thoughts. First, I had to reschedule with this company multiple times because we required two trucks and the first two times we scheduled they called to let us know after we confirmed that they would only have one truck available for the large majority of the time we scheduled. I booked them to move us out of a home we were selling and had a deadline to be out. We were moving from a home that was over 4,000 ft², and I communicated multiple times that one truck would not be sufficient and they committed to having two trucks for our move. When they arrived for the scheduled move day two trucks showed up as scheduled. Within 30 minutes one truck left to go do another job in the middle of our move. I called multiple times and complained about needing two trucks to meet our deadline of getting out of the home on time without having to pay them extra, and was assured that the other move would only take 30 to 45 minutes. That was not true. We were with one truck for almost two and a half hours of the four hours we scheduled. They also left one entire closet and half a room full of our belongings when they finally finished and drove off. This caused us to have to rush to finish our job on our own caused us to be late arriving to our closing that evening, For which we should have been charged a penalty and reschedule. When they arrived to move our things in to our new home two days later several pieces of our furniture were broken. One of our televisions was not functioning, and the only feedback I received from the moving team was that the broken pieces were not high quality furniture and they couldn't be blamed for breaking them. When I called to complain about our terrible experience, Margaret refused to answer the phone and would not talk to me. I was repeatedly told that she was unavailable and never actually spoke to her one on one. I did speak with her husband who begged me not to leave a bad review because he was having an upcoming surgery and Margaret was stressed out from trying to run the business and take care of him at the same time. I don't know if any of that was true, But the fact that Margaret refused to speak to me directly makes me believe it was not. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
