  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I was delivered two full boxes of smashed glass that was extremely carefully packed in bubble wrap. Half the boxes were delivered upside down. My glass coffee table I paid them to wrap came shattered in a million pieces while dragging glass shards through my new apartment. The claim process is an ACTUAL JOKE. You use a .net website that makes you fill in 500 boxes of information every time to access anything they send you. They require you to include receipts of everything that was broken (as if I keep receipts of vintage one of a kind glasswear from an antique store) and you have to upload every photo with absurd specifications in one file. Took me a good 4 hours to submit the claim and THREE months to hear back and they said here is $30. Then, to claim your $30 you have to get a notary public to sign the claim. An absolute joke!!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF A THREE MONTH HEADACHE AND RIP OFF AND USE ANOTHER COMPANY. THANK ME LATER!!!!

  The unprofessionalism attained was horrendous , I was communicated with up until the point of obtaining my items from my initial location to move. After obtaining the first half of my payment, it seems all communication moving forward ceased. My items were collected from the initial location on June 29th. I did not obtain my items until July 15th. There was no communication. I was the one who had to continuously initiate the conversation for updates on my items. I was initially working with Lisa Robbins and I was told that she would give me a call back on Monday, July 12th. I didn’t not get a call instead when I called to obtain an update, I then spoke to Tammy. I informed both ladies from dispatch that I would have to work at 12pm on Tuesday, July 13th. It’s 12:37p, they are still unloading my items. My items have been mixed up with another job and I am missing some items so far, the movers are very slow. I’m losing pay from my job and unfortunately had to bring my newborn with me in the scorching heat due to being told short notice of the timing when he was supposed to be dropped off to my grandmother. This is a huge inconvenience. More to come post completion of the job.

  I had used Maya before to send a small load of items to family in MA, and they did a great job getting everything there quickly and safely, so I hired them again to move my entire house to VT. Leo came within a couple hours of my call to look at all my possessions and write me a binding estimate. He was courteous and reassuring, and gave tips on how to best prepare for the move. I did my own packing of boxes, but Maya wrapped all the furniture extremely carefully. They also disassembled my bed and a heavy wall piece for me. They loaded my entire three-story townhouse in only about 3 hours, with a crew of four excellent movers. Though they gave me a 21-day window in which to deliver my belongings, in fact everything arrived only five days from the first day I gave them when I could be ready to receive it at the new location. Leo called me a couple of days before, and the driver arrived that morning in a smaller truck than the massive one which had hauled everything from GA to VT. That saved me an additional fee for needing a "satellite" truck if they had arrived and felt they couldn't safely unload with the big truck in my location. The driver brought three helpers, and the whole job was done in 3-4 hours in a courteous, very professional manner. Nothing was broken, and the movers were gracious about putting items exactly where I wanted them. They helped me check off each item on the inventory list patiently so we could make sure nothing was forgotten or lost. I don't see how my move could have gone better. My trust in Leo was well-deserved. He does what he says he will do, and treats his clients with respect and care. Their fee was reasonable-- not the highest estimate I got before committing. You will come through the moving experience as unscathed as moving can possibly be! I would definitely recommend Maya. There are a lot of shady movers out there, and finding one whose record shows that they do what they say they will and do it well is a lot of work. Save yourself the trouble and hire them!
