What a great experience! MOTM moved us today from Hiawassee to Stockbridge, GA. It could not have been done more pleasantly and professionally. It was a totally stress-free. The contract was clearly communicated and there were no hidden fees. We would highly recommend them for your next move.

On top of a great job moving us I would like to also appreciate the crew that found and returned to me a bag of precious jewelery they discovered while moving us. It had been lost for over 12 years until today when they found it. It is as valuable as it is sentimental and a blessing to have it again. Thank you so much!

I don’t normally write reviews especially negative ones. It’s been a month since our move and as I pass furniture, belongings, walls, trim work etc., I’m constantly reminded of the disaster of moving day. I see some have had good experiences based on their reviews. It seems a positive outcome depends on which team of movers is assigned to your job. Kasey in the office was very helpful in giving us a quote and walking us through the process. I had hopes by her professionalism that this was a good company and influenced our decision to hire them. With Duane and his team, speed, getting done as quick as possible was more important than quality and care. Multiple pieces of furniture were scratched and dented as well as wood floors, walls, trim and door frames. Dryer top was dented and refrigerator door was scratched. A newly refinished wrought iron 7 pc table and chairs was scratched and gouged down to the bare metal. It appears that no padding was used and they were stacked on top of each other, metal against metal. The entire 2 step paint finish will have to be redone. Boxes clearly marked heavy were stacked on top of boxes marked very fragile. Some boxes clearly marked for particular rooms were stacked at the back end of the basement which I now am still trying to access as I dig through. Fortunately we packed our own boxes with great care and so far haven’t found anything broken. A heavy duty step stool is missing and they never found it. After discovering the damage to the wrought iron furniture and scratches on dressers, beds etc., I asked one of the leaders what is the process of filing a claim for damage. He replied with a very intimidating tone, “What damage, we don’t damage anything.” Team leader was again rude and sarcastic, when I asked him to move the refrigerator in place because it was left in the center of the kitchen pathway. When I called out to him as he scratched the hardwood kitchen floor moving the refrigerator, he sarcastically remarked “What do you want me to do, pick it up?” I hope he doesn’t speak to his mother that way, I was obviously old enough to be his mom. At the end of the job, we had to stop them from driving away when we discovered they had not set up beds and put handles back on the refrigerator doors. Kasey told me during our initial call that taking any beds apart would save time and decrease the hourly cost of the move. When we asked them to assemble the beds, we received yet another sarcastic reply, “if we don’t take them apart, we don’t put them together!” That was never explained to me when she advised taking them apart. We tried to be as kind, helpful and accommodating from the time they arrived the day before to pack up. My husband gave all 4 movers a generous cash bonus and told them there was more to come at the end for a job well done. Needless to say they received no more. A small gesture of providing lunch of their choice for the team and chilled bottles of water throughout the day was made as well. Prior to retiring that night we discovered an important step in putting together our king sleigh bed was omitted. If we had gotten on our bed it would have collapsed to the floor and cracked the frame. Our son in law was able to repair and assemble the frame and supports even though the holes on the support boards were stripped. We did pay for damage insurance but with the deductible and cost of the coverage, we asked for a refund and cut our losses. When we spoke to management and agreed to settle by refunding the insurance fee they were very polite and apologetic. What surprised me is one office staff commented that they have told this group of movers of prior complaints on the same issues. Why would you keep employees on who repeatedly give poor service and offend those that pay their salaries, the customer?!? I won’t say don’t use them but I would use great diligence in asking the right questions - choose the right team and state your expectations.
