  Do NOT hire these movers under ANY circumstances! I have used movers for the past 10 years and have NEVER had an experience as bad as this. They arrived 2.5 hours late with little to no communication, my husband and I loaded our truck ourselves, were so behind they rushed moving all of our items and could care less about the actual items and after our horrible experience- they promised $50 off our expenses and guess what? It never happened and I had to dispute the charges on my credit card. LOOK ELSEWHERE! Anyone has got to be better than them.

  Used this company in 2012 booked through U-Haul to move all our belongings into a storage unit, they did a great job! Booked again in 2017 to move our items from storage unit to new home in July and no one showed up Or called. In 2020, we decided to move again and I had forgotten about the no-show experience and called them again by referring to my U-Haul account. I called many times over 2 weeks and finally got a text from Maria saying she would call that afternoon, but never did. I finally got ahold of her two days later and she was nice and super helpful. She gave quote and price was good so I gave it a shot. After the date of our move needed changed, I tried calling her for over a week, left messages, and got no call back. Because of this, I dug through my old emails and realized this was the same company that didn’t show up in July 2017. I quickly called to cancel and again got no return call. I finally text to cancel and will wait to see if I get a response or not. Communication and professionalism are so important with stressful things like moving. I won’t forget these two experiences, 3 years apart, of zero communication next time we move and will choose a more responsive, more reliable company.

  My experience with Moving Made Simple was anything but simple. They lack in communication in all areas. They made moving a huge headache and I would never recommend them. My movers were a 2 hours late – and while I completely understand things come up, I was never notified of any delays in scheduled until I called. This review would definitely be different if there was some communication. The day before my move, Maria called me a set up a time to move – we decided on 1-2 PM. Here is how the day of my move went: I called Maria at 1:53, she did not answer and I did not leave a voicemail. I called Maria again at 2:15 – she answers and said she will check into where the movers are and that she would call me back. I called Maria back at 2:36 since she never called me back, she said someone was supposed to call me and she’ll check on it again and call me back. My mover called me at 2:43 and told me he was at another job and it would be a few hours – I let him know this was completely unacceptable, as I only had the U-Haul rented for a specified time frame – which was more than enough to move a 1 bedroom apartment. At 2:44 I called Maria to let her know what I saw told and this absolutely will not work, she said she was going to call them and call me back. At 2:58 I called Maria AGAIN since I received no called back, she said they were leaving Grandview now and it would be about 20 minutes until they got there. Finally, at 3:36 mover calls me and tells me they are just now leaving Grandview…4:02 movers arrive. The company should really just be renamed Over Promise and Under Deliver. Since there was such grave lateness, I asked for a discount on the move – I took off work so I would be there ON TIME for the movers and made sure everything was completely ready for them – the only discount I got was $35 off the moving fee – definitely not enough to comp for my time and the headache. I should have read the reviews more carefully - if you look about a fourth of them have had the same exact experience. Again, absolutely would not recommend!
