We hired Moving Texas to help us unpack our Pod after our cross-country move from Boston, MA. Some of the stuff came to our new apartment and some things went to a storage unit. All four of the gentlemen from Moving Texas were kind, friendly, and efficient. What would have taken us the better part of a day (or maybe two!) took them a couple of hours. We are so thankful we found Moving Texas, and definitely know who we will be hiring next time we move!

If only I could give a negative-stars review. We hired Moving Texas to pack our house and load the boxes and furniture in shipping containers for transport across the country. The first issue was that the owner showed up with four college-aged guys (not a problem yet) who had obviously never packed a box before much less a full house (definite problem now). The packers didn't know how to organize, pack or even close a box. We very quickly ran out of packing supplies. We purchased more than what the business owner had asked us to provide. So I figured out that most of the boxes were about half empty and would quickly take up our container space. Which is exactly what happened. We were told by the owner that we would require 3 shipping containers for our home. We ended up using six! Which, according to most accounts, is enough for a home twice the size of ours. But that's not the end of the story. On the fourth day (was supposed to take 2 days), the owner and his crew showed up an hour late. And when I had to leave the house to run an errand which lasted less than an hour, they left. When I returned to find they were not there, I texted him and he responded that he would be right back. He never returned and he never responded to another text or phone call. Then we were notified that he had charged our credit card for the full amount. There was not supposed to be any charge until we approved it. And the agreement was for six hours, of which he was there less than one hour. So he charged us for four days and left approximately 60% of the work not completed. And left. Without any communications. Without notice. All, two days before our moving date. So my wife and I and our family spent the next 40 hours packing and loading. My feeling is that he is a complete scam and is just out to steal your money. That is what he did to us. People like him make it hard to trust anyone.
