We had a couch emergency as our brand-new couch wouldn’t fit in our elevator. NY Couch Doctor was immediately responsive and punctual. Moe did an excellent job with disassembling and reassembling in a quick fashion. It looks and feels perfect. Thank you for saving our day!

Stay away! I was given a window of 12-3pm the workers showed up at 4p (I get it, traffic, parking etc… not my biggest complaint but starting off on the wrong foot.) I speak with the guy in charge of moving the couch across the hall, and he tells me he has to talk to his boss about a quote. On the website, it clearly states a Free Estimate in a red tab. I’ll tell you now, that’s estimate is $350-700. In email the owner then wrote to me, we do not come out for free estimates and in the signature of the email, any cancellation of service is $150. So False advertising right off the bat. Before I could speak to the owner, after unanswered calls, I receive word the charge would be the full $700 and before I spoke to the owner who makes this decision, The work has begun. Very infuriating to say the least. The job was done in 45 mins. I mean, I was impressed and pleased with the time frame, all they had to do was take the back off the couch, move it 20 ft, reattach the back. BUT WHAT WAS $700? I finally get a hold of Sal and after getting angry, “if it’s any consolation I’ll take off $50… no Sal it was not a consolation. Please stay very far away from this couch doctor and go to the couch Surgeon. I’m giving 2 stars because of how fast the job was done.

Sal is a con artist. As another reviewer said you can find people do to this for way, way cheaper. These guys give you a vague price range (300-800, but spoiler alert, it’s the 800 they’re going to charge you no matter what). Anyone with a couple tools can take apart and move your couch for you. Don’t make the mistake of choosing these guys
