    I hired this moving company from a military recommendation. Warning: don't. When you first book with them, they are nice, polite and responsive until they get your deposit. Then you have trouble getting a date for pick up and delivery. I was given multiple moving dates. They finally said Thursday afternoon. Then they said the driver was running behind and would be there at 8 a.m. on Friday. No call, no show nothing. I called multiple times. The dispatch Telly said the driver was coming from Dallas and just running behind. The driver never came. The next day Saturday Telly said they were bringing drivers from New Orleans and they would arrive around 6 p.m. They come at 8 a.m. Telly said the drivers would drive straight through. Didn't hear from the driver until Tuesday and he agreed to drop my things off at 10 p.m. He called at 8 p.m. and said he was too tired. He said the truck broke down, he had to rent another one and that was part of the delay. I asked to see my things to ensure they were not broken. He said he couldn't do that until I sign and pay. I called and verified the amount because American Van Line said the amount could change. I verified if I could pay by check or credit card. When they arrive I give them a check. They said they can't take a check and they needed a cashier's check. I go to the bank to get it and they leave. It was then an act of Congress and some testy text messages to get them to come back, which they still have not returned. I called American Van Line and the manager said this was all my opinion and I could write my grievance in an email. I'd rather make sure no one else including military personnel ever use or recommend them. They are unprofessional and its been the most awful experience.

    Warning: Do not use this company. You have been warned. My yard...their drivers. Wichita KS. My neighbor moves, and I get this companies reckless drivers going intentionally through my yard. Yes, I have video of it. A claim has been ongoing for 5 months now. No resolution. Complete bull. Its a game of pass the buck. No one wants to take responsibility. I confronted the drivers, managers, claims specialist, safety coordinator...the list goes on and on. No call this number, call that number, talk to so and so.... I would anticipate the same issues if YOU have to make a claim of any sort. I have never experienced a company not take responsibility for their employees. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will lie to you. They will deceive you.

    I’m so disappointed with North American Van Lines. I can’t believe they are in business today. Don’t use them. They are horrible. We contracted with them and they loaded on the date specified. My phone with a credit card went missing and was located in the cab of the semi. They were supposed to deliver the furniture on the 17th of June. Their contract gave them a ten day spread. When the 26th rolls by and after several calls to them with promises they would get back to me and I would have to initiate the call, I was told it would be July 2. Then when that didn’t happen I was told July 6 and now after contacting them I’m told no earlier than the 15th. I don’t believe it’ll happen on that date either as they can’t guarantee it. The belongings are of two people in their 80’s. When discussing compensation for this horrendous delay I was told to buy an air mattress for them and they would compensate 50% of it. Really??? You’ve got to be kidding me. Their contract is full of outlandish charges if you don’t full fill their terms but nothing is stated if they don’t fulfill theirs. My parents will have been without their belongings for a month IF they deliver as stated now. Unfortunately I don’t trust them nor believe them. Most likely legal action will need to be taken just to get their stuff This is not right and no company shout e allowed to prey on their customers like this
