In continuance of my response to Rob C.'s review: We cannot be held responsible for items that have left our possession by means of another moving company when they refused to complete the inventory check off process. For all we know, the driver dropped items resulting in damage or did not load the truck properly which can result in damages. We were NOT hired to help load the driver’s truck and therefore take no responsibility in how it was loaded. Ashley hired North Texas Movers to load her belongings at the origin residence and place them in our storage. We did this. Then Ashley asked that we release the contents of the storage vaults to a “friend” and we did that. When Thor Movers took possession of Ashley’s goods, Thor Movers accepted responsibility which released North Texas Movers of all liability with exception to any claims that were made at the time of pick-up. Reputable, outstanding, highly recommended Moving Companies are VERY knowledgeable about how inventory check-off lists are a pertinent process especially when taking possession of goods from another company. We accommodated Ashley in every way possible even during a time of Global Crisis. Our obligations were met, and your slanderous comments are simply unsubstantiated. We ARE a great company with a great reputation and make it a top priority to right any wrongs we are responsible for. However, we can only work with facts and the inventory sheets from Ashley’s original move contain the facts. Have a good day, sir!

This is the first time I’ve ever rated a company online. I cannot possibly state how poor their service has been. North Texas Movers moved our furniture and other goods and stored them for us. When we attempted to retrieve everything for movement into our new home the company was non-responsive. When we finally reached them, they were unable to provide assistance to bring our furniture to us. So, we hired another moving company (Thor Moving, an outstanding, highly recommended company) to move us. When Thor arrived at North Texas Moving, our furniture, etc., was already taken out of the vaults and waiting outside. The first noted issue was that there was damage to several pieces of our furniture, including a broken dining room chair and broken dresser drawer. Second, once the truck arrived at our new home, we realized several items were missing, including our master California King mattress, dresser, office desk glass top, a sofa, and a living room chair, among other items. In the last several weeks we have repeatedly attempted to contact them and have left several messages. We have received no response. This is absolutely the poorest run company I can imagine. Please do yourself a favor and choose someone else for your moving and storage needs. Update as of 5/22/2020: We wife finally reached the owner/manager of North Texas Movers today. He saw the review we posted and started cussing and ranting at her about it. My wife then handed the phone to me and, just as I began to speak, he hung up on us. This kind of service only justifies and affirms the review I posted. We will now be forced to litigate in order to either get our furnishings returned to us or receive compensation for what has been lost and/or destroyed. Simply stated: North Texas Movers is a very poorly managed business and is a bottom-dweller in terms of customer service. There are too many other reputable choices to risk doing business with North Texas Movers.
Response from the owner
Mr C. - Our contract is not with you & we are not even sure who you are to be honest. However, we are assuming you are related to Ashley in some way. With that being said, "you" personally have never done business with our company & therefore cannot make claim that you did. Your complaints are all related to a time when our country was experiencing COVID-19 lock downs and you are blaming our company when our hands were tied with direct orders from our Government. We can hardly be held accountable for being non-responsive when we were limited on time in the office by orders of the State of Texas. However, your claims will be addressed publicly as you clearly wish. When Ashley first called our offices to schedule delivery of her belongings out of storage, we were under the stay at home order placed by Governor Abbott, so business was not running as usual. Calls were missed, emails were unread & schedules came to a halt. When we finally spoke to Ashley over the phone, she requested her belongings to be delivered ASAP. We explained that we were not able to schedule a delivery and did not know when we would be allowed to open back up. Ashley then said she would be more than happy to have friends that owned a moving company come retrieve her items if we could simply have someone available at the warehouse. Shortly after this conversation, we were deemed an essential business and were able to open, although on a reduced work schedule. We scrambled to locate PPE for our employees and the safety of our customers but were unsuccessful in obtaining such equipment. However, we offered to delivery Ashley's furniture without having those protections in place and were told by Ashley that she would have her friends at the moving company come to get her belongings. We scheduled a time when they could come, with instructions from Ashley that they were only picking up a bed, desk, washer & dryer set and some other small item that needed to be loaded on a truck leaving for Colorado the following Sunday. Our policy, as with most Moving and Storage companies, requires all items to be removed from vaults and unwrapped so the driver picking up can check off the inventory sheet(s) prepared when the items where originally picked up from the residence to come into storage. This process is in place so that all items can be inspected and any claims for missing and/or damaged items can be made before the items leave our possession. Your driver refused to take inventory stating he was "in a hurry." Ashley then contacted our office again to schedule pick-up of the remaining items in storage. Again, we did things by the book, and unloaded the vaults so that your driver could check off the existing inventory and make claim to any damaged or missing items. Once again, your driver elected not to complete this inventory check off. In fact, he left the provided inventory check off sheets at our warehouse when he left. We received several calls from Ashley stating that furniture was missing & or damaged. Items she stated are: 2 King Mattress Sets missing, a Dresser missing - she claims to have gotten the drawers only, a glass table top missing and damage to a chair. When we reviewed the inventory sheets (keep in mind these inventories were completed on-site as items were moved out of Ashley's original residence) only 2 complete QUEEN mattress sets were listed and NO sofa at all. Moving companies do not generally remove drawers from dressers, they simply pad wrap the dresser - drawers included - and move it. We spent an entire week completely emptying our warehouse to ensure no vault was mislabeled or left behind. We cannot be held responsible for items that left our possession by means of another moving company especially when they refused to complete the inventory check off process. For all we know, the driver dropped items resulting in damage or did not load the truck properly which can result in damages. CONTINUED.....

Awesome customer service. Jason was very friendly and informative on the phone and Jarvis and Darrell were amazing and worked very well together. They called to tell me they were en route and arrived exactly on time. Took very good care to wrap and handle all my furniture with care. I have moved cross country several times and have never had as courteous and polite movers. I will certainly recommend North Texas Movers again and again, and their pricing was very competitive and for the results well worth the cost. Thank you for making moving day not quite so bad. Can you come back and help me up pack these boxes?
