USE THESE MOVERS AT YOUR OWN RISK!! If you have arranged your own moving truck and are looking to hire some movers to help for the day – you would be very wise to avoid Oregon Moving Labor Services. We used them for two moves last summer - and for the second move, they extorted an additional $750 from us, above & beyond the expected cost for the day. We first used them to move our household contents temporarily into self-storage, and then we used them to load our things back out of storage to ship to our new home on the East coast. We had already left town by the time of the second move, and rather than having to fly back to Portland in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, we decided to manage the loading of our stuff over the phone. Unfortunately, Oregon Moving Labor Services jumped on the fact that we were out of town to run their extortion scheme on us. On moving day, a friend of the family (a young lady) agreed to help us out by unlocking our storage units for the movers and settling up with them at the end of the day. At the end of the day, our friend called to say that Eric, the lead hand for Oregon Moving Labor Services, was demanding an additional $750 fee for moving a heavy item and said he & his crew wouldn’t leave until they got it. This time around, rather than the $250 “heavy item” fee we paid a few weeks earlier when they moved our stuff into storage, Jim, the owner of Oregon Moving Labor Services, now decided they would charge us $1,000. So, this left us in a very sticky position. We were 2,600 miles away and our friend, the young lady, was alone in an isolated, fenced self-storage facility with 4 men from Oregon Moving Labor Services – and they wouldn’t leave until we paid what they were demanding. At this point, for her safety, we felt we had no option but to yield to the extortion and pay the $1,000 “heavy item” fee. Sadly, this experience was a grim reminder that there are predators everywhere in this world. On this occasion, Jim and Eric proved they are basically vultures, happy to take advantage of a situation where a trusting homeowner has already left the state, and Oregon Moving Labor Services holds all the cards. Thus, for anybody thinking about using Oregon Moving Labor Services, I urge extreme caution.

Eric and Kenny were both very professional. They were easy to communicate with and easy to direct where I wanted my boxes and furniture placed. They kept me updated on their arrival time which was much appreciated. Good attitudes, pleasant to work with. They were fast and efficient in their use of time. I would definitely hire them again. Jim at Oregon Moving Labor was easy to work with and responded to my calls and text in an efficient and timely manner in scheduling the movers. And his price was the best of all the moving helpers I called. Definitely would hire this company again.

Eric, Derek and Shane came to our rescue! All my Sons moving company left us high and dry and no-showed on moving day. We called Oregon Moving Labor Services and they had 3 guys out to our location within 2 hours. These guys did a great job, handled our things with the utmost care and with great attitudes. With a sprained ankle myself, a pregnant wife and young child with us, the moving team helped us with everything we needed, and did it fast! Their rates were very competitive as well! I’ll be using them in the future and recommending them to anyone we know who is moving. Thanks again guys!
