  First time trying PODS as I sold my home before the new home is completed. I was given a 3 hour delivery window the evening before. The driver Steve arrived on the dot of the first hour of my time window. He called me to verify placement of the container in my driveway. Steve also took the time to explain why he couldn’t place the container due to possible damage to my property. I most definitely want Steve’s expertise and excellent customer service…for pickup heading off to their local storage facility. The pod lifting process is cool! I’ll be telling folks around NASA this week:)

  I had a very good experience with PODS, in that my POD was initially dropped off and picked up within the three hour time frame I got notified of the night before by the Hyattsville location. My one complaint/caution for users in DC is that for the 16 ft POD, both DC Parking and PODS recommends only two spaces be reserved, but you actually need three, so that the machine dropping the POD can fit the POD within your two parking space permit in DC. Thankfully the driver who dropped my POD off, Dennis O, was extremely helpful in making sure I got my POD dropped off, even though a car was a little too close to where I wanted it dropped off. Thankfully everything worked out well and it was picked up a few days later at a reasonable hour.

  I want to start with stating that I am very disappointed with PODS as a whole and not a single location. That said, this started with the pickup from our starting location. I was told when the POD is picked up from our move from the transit would be initiated and the next payment would be deducted. But it was picked up and sat at their storage facility for five days. When I hadn't received any updates checked the website and couldn't figure out what was going on. Upon calling I was told I never scheduled the next pickup... There were items that a family member needed to sustain wellness and we'd only brought enough for him to get by on until we got the POD. The lack of communication has been astonishing. I then sent an email requesting a customer service manager contact me and crickets. Now on the day of the re-scheduled/expected delivery they are thus far two hours behind. Lack of communication, customer service and care. Had I know of the hassle, I would have rented a truck and drove across county with the belongings. Very dissatisfied to say the least. Beware folks...
