  First the good: the POD was delivered on time and all my items were in great condition. The driver called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way which was very much appreciated and he was kind and quick in dropping off the POD. The not good: When I first booked the POD I wasn’t sure what date I would want it to return to the facility after unloading. Customer service told me I could call the day before I wanted it picked up and they could schedule it for the next day. I called the weekend before and was told there was nothing available until 11/16. So now the POD has to sit in the parking lot taking up two spots and disrupting other people in the complex for a week. Luckily our apartment complex is understanding. Secondly, the day prior to delivery I spent 45 min on the phone with the national office trying to explain how I wanted the POD to face. They put in notes but told me that the delivery driver should be able to work with me on its final placement. When the driver arrived I asked if he could face the POD towards the apartment and he stated that this would cost an extra $50. I think this is ridiculous considering that I paid to have the POD delivered and this is part of the delivery fee. The Baltimore location where I filled up my POD was able to switch my POD location AND swap out PODs for no extra fee so I had high expectations for customer service and was somewhat disappointed by this, especially considering I wasn’t informed of these kinds of extra costs. Overall just happy that my stuff arrived in one piece and on time but frustrating things like this can definitely damper an already stressful moving situation.

  Our POD re-delivery was a stressful nightmare. My partner and I never received an estimated time frame of when our POD would be re-delivered to us after our initial pick up. We were never told if our POD even made it to it's final destination before it was to be re-delivered to us. We spent the whole night before our scheduled re-delivery day online and calling PODs to see where our POD was and when it might be dropped off. No on was able to give us answers other than our POD had arrived to the holding facility but the delivery schedules for the day hadn't been made and no one knew when they would be made and posted. Needless to say thats not very reassuring to hear the night before you POD is supposed to arrive. It wasn't until 7am on our re-delivery day that we got a call from our driver saying he was 15 minutes away that we knew were were even getting our POD. We were staying 35 minutes away however and were frustrated that we would not be able to be there when our POD was delivered. Overall the initial drop off of the empty POD went off without a hitch. The re-delivery was a nightmare and if we move again we will consider other options before PODS.

  Great experience, professional and courteous drivers and sales staff. The items in my container were delivered on time and in perfect condition exactly as I pack them. I recommend PODS.
