I had hired Progressive Van Lines to handle our Move from Delaware to Florida. I am not a professional Mover and do not know the Moving Industry. Upon making my reservation I was asked of the Items that were being moved. I let them know I was moving a One Story Home. They gave me an Inaccurate Estimate for the Size Truck I would need. Customer Service reached out to me 1 Day Prior to my Scheduled move to obtain an updated Inventory List which I had provided all the Items that I believed to me ready for movement. I was then charged another 1400.00 because they stated I doubled my Cubic Square Footage. Again I am not a professional mover I don't know about Square footage! I just needed a moving truck. They assured me that this space would be enough for my move. They ended up contracting a Moving Company out of New Jersey call FALCON Movers. HORRIBLE! They showed up late! Did not load what was on my Inventory list and then said sorry we have no more room for your other Items. They told my parents that they had used more space then what was allotted and told them they needed to pay 1300.00 cash in order to move which still did not include all my items. My father refused to pay and the Gentlemen's name Curtis told my dad he would cut him a break and drop it to 700.00 and give him his drivers discount. My father agreed trying to make sure that I received all my stuff in Florida. Curtis then took the cash from my father and wrote on the receipt it was a CASH TIP!!!!!! No way was this a CASH TIP! The driver did not give my parents as Estimated time that my Items would be delivered to me. The crew that Falcon Movers sent were un-professional they continuously kept asking for water, they were not at all prepared for the work. The movers left moving blankets, rolls of tape and there used water bottles behind and left like nothing. They were man handling my items and loading them as if they were junk. The worst part is, is that more then half of my move was left behind in Delaware and now I have to find another way to get my Items to Florida. I will have spent over 7K on this move and it was worthless. My Items are still no where to be found and they cannot give me a Time when they will be Delivered. Please do not allow Progressive to Contract Falcon Moving Company out Of New Jersey to HANDLE YOUR MOVE! Beware they are scam Artists. I am fighting tooth and Nail to get Justice for the Money that was ripped off by the Driver Curtis in which he pocketed his 700.00 Cash Tip. Please do research about moving companies to make sure they have your best Interest at Heart! Clearly we were shafted!

Please - I am writing in hopes that someone in Management at Progressive Van Lines responds and to inform others - DO NOT DO business with this company. This is my 15th move and by far the worst experience ever. First, my sales rep Josh King said he would take care of me thru the process - after he got his sale he would not return texts or calls as my delivery was delayed and items lost. Some of my goods arrived 15 days after he promised and as of today 28 of my items (guitars, safe, power sprayer, collectibles, etc. ) are lost by the company they brokered. The original mover was to be Falcon (who I researched as Josh said they would be the mover). It ended up being Best For you Moving, who movingclaims.net says doesn't exist, so I cannot file a claim for lost goods. I talked to Donna thru customer service, she said she would return my call after discussing load delivery - never did. I talked with Kara on customer service - she said she would research my delivery and call back - never did. Joshs boss finally called after numerous texts - he start reading the contract to me - I said there wasn't a need to do that- that he needed to build a relationship with me as a customer and work to solve my problems and find my items (at the time I had not heard from the delivery company weeks after the due date)- he said he would return my phone call - you guessed it - he did not. I feel like I was totally taken. Also, the actual moving company charged me for space not used and would not deliver my goods until I paid even though I disputed. Additionally all my boxes were wet as it was obvious my goods all got wet as they transferred them to another truck during their process. The pictures attached are a few of many. I have filed a complaint with the National Consumer complaint database as I have thousands of dollars of goods missing.

If you’re looking for a moving company, keep looking. You need to know that Progressive Van Lines are brokers in the moving industry. You pay them A LOT of money to hire absolutely horrible moving companies to actually move your belongings. This means your stuff will be loaded and unloaded multiple times, resulting in lost and/or damaged items. You have no control over how many times your belongings are relocated onto different trucks! We learned all this the hard way. This was our experience in a nutshell: a crew came with a truck and loaded our stuff. That truck was driven to a warehouse, where it was unloaded and our belongings were placed on a huge truck that held multiple people’s stuff. Your items are delivered in the order that they were loaded, so if your things were the first onto the big truck, you’ll have to wait longer to receive them. Some of our precious things never arrived at our new home and our gorgeous dining set was dropped and ruined. In the contract they make you sign, it states they will only give you $0.60 for every pound. It’s just not worth it and they know it. So heartbreaking. Also, we ended up paying double the quoted price, because they were shady about their calculations. All around, it was a terrible feeling to not have more control over the process, have items lost and damaged, and to be out about $4k. We moved out of a small apartment, so hopefully this review will cause you to do deep research to avoid hiring companies such as Progressive Van Lines.
