  The 2 man crew was professional, polite, quick and took great care moving not to damage walls, door facing or item. The quote was $70 + less than other local mover’s quotes. Did exactly what was agreed upon with not surprises! From getting quote, scheduling ti moving all very professionally handled…If ever the need again I would use Samson Power Movers.

  This moving company is a SCAM. I received as they say a “QUOTE” to pack (600.00) my entire 2 bedroom mind you it’s me, my husband and 3 yr old grandson. So it took them 3 hours (mind you they are professionals) to pack up 5 cabinets they used 24 boxes that was mostly paper most boxes contained 5 or 6 items the rest was paper that I was charged 80.00 for. For a grand total of 602.00 for 5 CABINETS . I only have 1 set of dishes 1 set of glasses 1 set of pots and pans and Tupperware for food. I get that they need to make money somewhere but this is just plain old robbery here. After 3 hours I asked them to leave it was apparent they were going to try and take all day to pack me , make their money and god knows how much I would have been charged at the end of the day. The owner is the one who quoted me moving a 2 bedroom he said it would take about 3 hours he as a owner should give a more realistic time window but his mission is to lie get in your house and hope you don’t tell him to leave. He was very deceptive that is his line of work not mine to figure out what it really takes to pack. At the end of the say my husband and I packed out entire 3 bed room that took us a total of 4 hours. Now let’s get to moving day which was the next day the only reason why I had them come back is because I’m recovering from fractured ribs and can’t help my husband move everything. It took them 8 hours including an hour drive time there and back so technically physically worked 6 hours my total for that day was 1400 so to move and pack my 5 kitchen cabinets was a total of 2100.00. If you don’t think that’s a scam I don’t know what is. I would advise you to shop around and find someone who is not going to rip you off.. Again I get that you need to make more y somehow but this was just plain ok ROBBERY!!

  My name is Samson and I’m the owner of Samson Power Movers. I can’t just sit back to response to our client’s review like. “Thank you for addressing your concerns” or “We appreciate your feedback” because these claims are just simple not true and a complete falsehood. We performed your move on January 8th and 9th 2021. Based on the intake we did on your job, you wanted just to pack the kitchen, clothes and move on the following day. Myself and my helper arrived to pack your belongings but you WERE NOT READY for us at all. The kitchen was a complete mess and you wanted everything pack in the kitchen. You HAD WAY MORE THEN JUST one set of dishes and glasses, you had countless items that you wanted to be packed. NOT ONE THING WAS BROKEN AND IF IT WAS THEN THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN APART OF YOU REVIEW IF THAT HAPPENED. We worked nonstop for 3 hours packing at a fast speed, you just had a lot of kitchens miscellaneous items. The only time that I stop packing was to answer the phone because my office called me and said that you were complaining because we were moving slow. After that phone call, I told you that I was the owner and you change your whole tone by saying you didn’t know it would take this long and we were doing a great job. I communicated to you throughout the whole time while we was packing just to keep you informed about what we were doing and you were in compliance. You see us moving nonstop the whole time making sure that your personally belongings are well protected because that is what we do. Do you want us to move faster? Are we slaves? We are not the day labor from Home Depot. WE are highly trained professional movers that know what we doing. Treat us with some respect. Let me Explain why we pack the way we pack and why nothing was broken on your job. You have to use small size boxes to pack glass and china because you don’t want to pack it too heavy just in case the bottom open up and all of your breakables break. That’s why we didn’t use your extra-large boxes like you wanted to because we know better because we are the experts. When packing china or glass, you have to wrap each one in paper and place it in the box but not stack it in the box on top of each other. Spreading it out is the best way to do it because it keeps it level in the box. You feel in the gaps of the box with paper to stop any movement within the box. No movement in a box fill with glass, dishes and china will ensure that your items will not BREAK. That is how I been packing boxes since I was 12 and I was taught by a moving company that stared after the Civil War. Who are you to tell me that I can’t perform my job? You should be a shamed of lying and making up stories. If you wanted cheap movers then you should have gone to Home Depot. If you try say that something was broken after you read this response to your review then we will not honor any claim because it should of be apart of your review or an inquiry with our company since you had time to go through everything.   I had a move on today of only boxes that were to be moved from the garage to a storage unit. I requested the best workers and was so excited with the efficient and professional work done by Javon and Charlie. The move was swift and the workers carried out instructions and asked questions to ensure the work was done to my satisfaction. I had some questions and requested clarity regarding billing having paid immediately upon arriving at the storage unit. I texted Javon after everything was done and sitting thinking over the final bill, etc. I received a response that he would forward to owner and immediately received a response from Samson. Samson provided a thorough explanation of billing all while remaining professional. The entire team was again very professional and very personable. I would use their services again. Thank you guys for everything.
