Absolutely awful experience with this company. Originally they were scheduled to be at our apartment to move by 12pm. They pushed back the time multiple times and finally showed up at 5:47pm. One of the guys who was helping pack the things up mentioned that he had been waiting at Grand Central Station for hours because he was told they were starting the job at noon. When everything was finished being packed up the main mover started screaming at me in the street about how WE didn't give HIM enough time to move this stuff and he denied being scheduled for a 12 o'clock time. It took them over 5 hours to load up a 3 bedroom NYC apartment. All of the boxes were already packed. It was literally them moving boxes downstairs and a couch and table. When I went down to look at the truck I saw that our boxes were put in the truck on their sides and upside down and many things were broken as a result. Then it took him 1.75 hours to get to our next apartment which is only a 35 minute drive away. At this point our new building manager would not allow them to move things in other than our mattresses to sleep on for the night because it was 11:30pm. The company calls us to tell us that this isn't their fault (even though they are the ones who were 5.75 hours late) and that they were going to drive all of our stuff back to their warehouse and we would be charged a $500 redistributing fee for them to bring it back to us and the earliest that they could redeliver was Sunday night. Four days later. Fast forward to us finally getting our things from them. Our $800 bunk bed was written on with permanent marker (headboard, foot board, left side, right side, etc.) that never came off. In addition to this there are two major gashes in the side of the bed. At least three inches long and about an inch deep. They couldn't assemble the bunk beds the day of delivery and I had to make sure I was home yet again in order to let the guy in to assemble. I was then required to help him assemble the bunk beds instead of him bringing someone to help him. Our $2000 couch leg was completely broken off from them leaning the couch over. My bedside table is busted all along the bottom. Lamp shades are completely bent and do not stand up right at all. Multiple broken dishes and kitchen items. Absolutely awful. In addition to all of this, we used a company known as Bungo Box. They provide rolling boards in order to help move your boxes. Schneider Van Lines ended up taking one of our rolling boards and we were charged $75 for that as well. When I reached out to the company to get reimbursed for this, Liz told me that they didn't have it. However, when the guy came to assemble the bunk beds he said he remembered seeing it in the truck and that I just needed to email Liz in order to get it back. Liz stopped emailing me after one response saying she did not have it. I have never had so many issues moving as I did with Schneider Van Lines.
