  In December of 2020 I contracted this company to pick up my home possessions and store for several months while we were constructing a new residence. I paid additional money for 100% replacement insurance. Either during storage, or delivery they damaged a few items. They damaged a grill that had cost in excess of $4000.00. Top was caved in, and skirt was bent out of shape. This damage was not there upon pick up. Two furniture covers were completely shredded. Clothes dryer had a significant dent in the front. When I brought this to there attention I was told that I was wrong and they did not cause it. Arrogantly and rude response from owner. I requested a claim form, and was told he would send, but it would do no good. Form never arrived. Why did I purchase the insurance?

  I have had Scott Relocation/Mayflower Van Lines move me twice now. This second time within the last month. Although I had some scheduling issues this time, they worked with me to make sure that I was able to get back to a good move time. They really went out of their way to make the move successful. I don't know where they get their movers but they sure know how to hire them. Both last time and this time, I was really impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of the whole crew. They all pulled together and made quick work of the move with no damage to either location nor to my goods. In addition, they went out of their way to make sure that my furniture was placed in the new location exactly as I needed it, including changing it if I asked. They also made some recommendations which were very helpful. This was true professionalism. It really makes a lot of sense to hire professionals, people who know how to move furniture and heavy boxes with ease and speed. I am very impressed by this company and its people from office staff to the movers. I can wholeheartedly recommend Scott Relocation for any move and, although I hope not to move again, if I have to I will come back to them without a hesitation.

  We used Scott Relocation to help us move from Boston to LA. I was slightly weary of using a big van line again due to prior bad experiences with other companies. But given the peak season, smaller companies that do a dedicated move for you cross country was just too expensive. It was easy to contact them and get an in-home estimate. We decided to go with the crate option (where they put everything you had into wooden crates) since that's suppose to provide a better timeline. Pick up was on time, and the 3 guys did a great job wrapping everything put carefully and finished the job pretty quick. On the delivery side, the move took about 2.5 weeks. We were on a 2 week road trip anyways so that worked out ok. But obviously if you're on a tighter timeline, that might not be ideal. We did still end up sleeping on air mattress for 5 nights. In addition, the communication on this end was slightly lacking and I called the Mayflower agent in LA on a daily basis to get an update on the status of our stuff. So the reason I took 1 star off. But the actual drop off was pretty seamless and we had no noticeable damages to our furniture.
