  Would rate zero if possible. Had the worst experience with this company and would not recommend. The lack of communication and professionalism is unbelievable. Our pod was supposed to be delivered on a certain date and it was not. We tried to follow up multiple times and nobody seemed to know where our stuff was. The supervisor was supposed to call us and never did. After multiple calls and waiting over a week and a half we still do not have our stuff and have not received any communication. DO NOT USE THEM! STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE!

  While the initial delivery of the boxes to our house was fantastic (the delivery driver was super friendly and very helpful), it’s is EXTREMELY clear to us now that this company is HORRIBLE for short term storage when moving from one house to another. Upon the initial order to drop off the boxes for us to pack, we made it very clear that we would be closing on our new house on the 27th of this month (July). We called before the 27th (and sat on hold for a while) to see if we were all set to receive our boxes then and was told that the first delivery date was on the 12th of August. Our only other option was to rent a U-Haul and unload our boxes from their facility in Kennesaw. We took the weekend to weight our options (because half a month without all of our stuff didn’t seem feasible - especially when we told them when we needed the boxes dropped off when placing the initial order). My wife spent almost 2 hours on hold yesterday and wasted 30 minutes on their “live chat” waiting for someone to respond. After almost two hours of being on hold the line simply went silent. She called back and, of course, they were now closed. So, we call this morning when they opened at 9am to say that we should be able to manage having the boxes delivered at some point in the middle of next month. To our alarm, the first available delivery date jumped from the 12th of August to the 30th of August. Again, the only resolution they provided was to rent our own truck (or pay movers) and schedule our own pickup from their Kennesaw location. This has been a terrible experience and will be the absolute last time we ever consider them - we do not recommend for short term storage and delivery. Consider at your own risk for any long term storage. But don’t expect them to deliver your packed boxes quickly or to work with you on creative solutions when they are delayed. Also, we’ve requested having promises they’ve made on the phone regarding future payments that we do not agree to to be sent to us in an email and were told that “this is against company policy…I can only send templated emails out to clients”. Very interesting. I’ll update this post accordingly when we find a better resolution on our own (because this company is certainly not in the business of being available, responsive, or creative in resolving client issues). While purchasing a new house in this current market was hard enough, our family was super excited to finally move in. Thanks yo SmartBox, it looks like our family of five will be sleeping on the floor for the time being. Very frustrating experience.

  Hi Tim, this is the local office of SmartBox, i contacted your wife to discuss your exit delivery. We have had difficulty in finding drivers in this job market. We did set up an exit delivery at our warehouse and refunded your exit delivery fee. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused you.

  They cancelled my delivery less than 24 hours before delivery. This is after confirmation texts all week assuring me it was still scheduled. They offered no solution with a renovation project starting the next morning.

  There is a nationwide shortage of drivers right now, and because of this we were unable to make your delivery. We fully refunded all of your upfront fees as we were unable to provide any service to you. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused you.
