  "Today, Christmas day, I attended the 11am service at St. John's. Towards the end of the service during Communion, I was placed into an extremely awkward and uncomfortable scene by the priest who rushed over to me and grabbed the wafer out of my hand (proclaiming to those nearby) that I am not Catholic. I stood there aghast, embarrassed and felt the need to leave. I decided that would create too much of a further distraction, so with much discomfort stayed through the remainder of the service. For those who might self-righteously say that what took place was excusable, what is particularly not is what happened afterwards. I respectfully and quietly stood in the foyer with other parishioners with the same priest. The priest made a point of ignoring me and not offering any follow up explanation as to why he made me feel like a pariah. I had been considering joining the Catholic church, as I've been a life-long Christian of the military Protestant faith. But sadly now, I am reconsidering otherwise."
