I read the reviews but noticed they were 9 months or more, so, maybe they had made improvements. The initial interaction led me to believe one price. The price was reiterated throughout the conversation. There was no mention that the $100+ trip charge was over and above the price discussed throughout the hour long call. So, I okayed the contract, I agreed to 2 hours only. I was assured that the deposit would be applied to the $200 total. Moving day went wrong immediately. I had an 8a-12noon window. At 11:30 I called the office. I was told that I had called the office and cancelled the move and had the option to move the next day, which was not possible. After several holds, I was told another story, that my movers were given the wrong paperwork and were on another move and would arrive as soon as they finished. Although he apologized, he said "We all make mistakes. I am sure you have made mistakes too." They arrived at 2:30. They worked quickly and I assisted as time was of the essence and rush hour was upon us. The driver stated that he could not go through the tunnel, which would shorten the travel time. I called a friend to assist with unloading at the destination, and called the office to see if we could go through the tunnel. The most unprofessional, young female voice refused to answer the question about the tunnel. She kept reiterating terms of the contract as though she had not heard anything I said. She insisted that I provide the invoice number, whike driving! I demanded a supervisor and she told me to "stop speaking to me like that ma'am." She would not get a supervisor. The dispatcher happened to call at that time while the rep hung up on me. The dispatcher was excellent, told me that the truck could go through the tunnel but we were already stuck in rush hour traffic. The dispatcher also advised that a supervisor would call shortly. He did. Someone in the office told him that I had complained that the movers went to the gas station. That was another lie. I demanded credits. He said we would work on that upon completion of the move. The movers were good but would not remove the legs from the sofa until serious damage was done to the wood door frame, front door, neighbor's door, my ceiling, and adjoining walls. Once they realized I was right about the legs, I grabbed the drill and the legs were removed. Upon completion the driver wrote a fee that was $200 more than discussed and subtracted discounts due to the problems, which took the total to $100 more than negotiated. I was furiuos and had had enough. My male friend's voice in the background seemed to cause a change in the attitude of the supervisor, who became more reasonable. The dispatcher was conferenced in and she fully understood that I was given misinformation . She said she would pull the call to verify my statements. I said good and I would hold. I had no more money and the supervisor agreed to contact me the next week to pay the balance. However, I questioned how the charge was doubled, then discounts applied to take the bill back to the original price. He said he was taking a loss. I am not sure that his loss was greater than mine. I suggested to the movers to start their own business and leave starving students since the level of dishonesty and unprofessionalism would reduce the number of jobs. I sent an email with pictures of damage to the office. I received no response. I will NEVER EVER use or recommend this company, not even to my worst enrmy.

Same complaints everyone else has. The movers themselves were great, they got the job done and didn't damage anything. Props to them. Regarding the company though, hidden fees all over the place. I had a $600 budget, and it ended up being over $1,000. They cried that it was a holiday weekend and they were doing me a favor by having guys work that day (Easter), but then at the last second tried to upsell me another guy for an additional $40 an hour. This is on top of the fuel surcharge, overall 15% they tack on in the end, and some other BS charges. To top it off, when the movers called in the final bill, they had the office on speakerphone. They were chatting about how tough the move was, and the guy called me a mother f#$%$% for not booking the third guy. I was standing right there. Real classy. Oh, and they aren't students. They are also not starving. This company is nothing move than a clever name used to lure in people who know nothing about moving. The workers themselves said I would have saved tons had I just called them directly. I know now for next time.

The movers contracted in Baltimore: were 2 hours late even though we were only move of day, almost let an animal out, I ended up cracking a knee cap falling while catching it. No apology. They were getting rain sheets but never used so stiff got wet. Lastly the broke our couch. I called headquarters to file complaint. Nothing DONE. We used 4 times this is last unless they change contracted group.
