  They did refund my deposit so they get 1 star for that. I would never recommend them and I will never call on them again. They promised me everything and did not deliver on their promise. In fact they subcontracted my move to an inferior and totally inefficient moving company. They caused me to be depressed and my blood pressure skyrocketed. I took a day off of work and scheduled my move for 8:30 a.m. The subcontracted company came late and couldn't even move my safes and refrigerator. I dismissed them and they left. By the grace of God I was able to locate another mover and my move was saved. Starving Students are a joke. Don't use them.

  Horrible movers, wouldn't recommend. They were late & damaged our bedframe, couch, & entertainment center. I asked them multiple times to handle our stuff with care and they ignored me. I have tried to follow up and I have received nothing from them. if you don't have anything of importance to be moved go with them, but if you don't want your stuff damage go elsewhere.

  I had called Starving Students and didn't know that they were contracting with another company vs providing services directly. It was such a disappointment - I asked 3 times before submitting a down payment if they would be available at 12 or 1pm on a Saturday and was told yes. Low and behold, I check the email a few days later (when it's too late to cancel), and I see they just give you a window that says "PM - between 1-5pm." Since the movers didn't end up showing up until 5:20, I ended up waiting 5 hours beyond what I originally planned and confirmed. They also had really unhelpful customer service reps all day Saturday.
