  I am not surprised by the high ratings that The Connecticut Piano Company has received. My son had heard good things about the company and suggested that I contact them for a tuning and cleaning of our K. Kawai G-3 piano, that was sorely in need of attention. I contacted the company and I was able to arrange for the services I needed at a convenient time and date. Email confirmations and reminders made the process very easy. Since our piano was 20 years old, I contracted for a complete cleaning, tone adjustment and tuning prior to their actual visit. Ben arrived on time and began an inspection of the piano and its condition. After completing his analysis he told me that the piano was in very good condition. His report indicated that it had only some minor issues that would require his attention now and pointed out some others that could be postponed until a later date. He then spent about 3.5 hours, cleaning, adjusting and tuning our piano. After completing all of the service to our piano, it once again performs and sounds as it should. I would highly recommend The Connecticut Piano Company to anyone who needs their piano serviced or repaired.

  After inheriting a 66-year-old piano, I was eager to learn to play. It had not been tuned for 20 years or so and I really had no idea who to call. I did a Google search for piano tuners in my area and found Connecticut Piano Company. I made an on-line inquiry and received a response from Ben Rocke within 30 minutes. His response answered my initial questions of price and timing for a tuning to take place, which I then scheduled. Ben was prompt to the appointment, extremely polite, and patient with my novice questions. He examined the piano and showed me the places of wear, how it affects the overall sound, and how he would proceed. He did not seemed rushed to finish the job. After tuning he played a piece of music which sounded perfectly beautiful. Later the same day, he sent an e-mail with a Customized Condition Report. He gave reasonable suggestions for maintenance -- keeping in mind the age of the piano and my beginner piano status – with fair prices should I wish to consider in the future. Connecticut Piano Company will be the only place I turn to for any future piano needs.

  Our piano was neglected for several years when I contacted Ben in 2013. The first time he serviced it, he spent about three hours first raising the pitch, then tuning it. In the several years since he has performed annual tunings. When we moved, he recommended a safe, reliable piano mover. Always punctual, respectful, and professional. Glad to recommend him to anyone!
