CHARGED $1,300 FOR A VAN I DIDN'T DRIVE! Rented a van on Friday to move from Minneapolis to Minneapolis. When I got back home after picking the van up, they called asking me to return the van because it's the wrong one. Back at the U-Haul center, they have no more vans, so they upgraded me to a 10-foot truck. Used it for a day and returned on Saturday (should've been only $50 or so). Today, received an invoice entailing a trip made by a van from Minneapolis to Chicago and that the van is not yet returned, charged on my account for $1,300. Unbelievable! Called the Minneapolis U-Haul, they said to call the destination. So I called the Chicago center, was on the phone for 55 minutes just for the lady to say that they are not sure what has happened and ask me to sort the problem out with the Minneapolis guys. Skipped my work just to talk to the people at the Minneapolis center and they said it's an entirely different van from the one I was mistakenly given at the beginning and that they don't even know where the van currently is or when it was dispatched out of Minneapolis. Someone, an employee perhaps, was using the van to go to a concert in Chicago for the weekend and had fun with some hookers, maybe. I'm speechless.

Over charged ~$100 for a truck rental, called twice to try to get a manager on the phone and they will not call back. It's been multiple weeks waiting for a call back. The employee that we did talk to tried saying we returned the vehicle a day late, didn't return the vehicle with enough gas (untrue) and had a really agressive, nasty attitude and implied we just didn't understand the fees. Rented the vehicle on 12/31/2021 (Renter was Joe incase someone wants to go back in their system and check/try saying we werent even a customer). Luckily we took time stamped pictures of EVERYTHING- mileage and gas levels before and after returning, as well as a picture of the vehicle returned. Looking at other reviews, this location needs to be invested for fraud, wouldn't be surprised if employees or management is pocketing money somehow. Just don't go to this location, period.

I rented a truck and some plastic boxes on 7/30 to move on 8/1. I paid for the boxes when I picked them up and paid for the truck rental when they had sent the invoice. I dropped the truck off with a full tank EARLIER than I had reserved it so that I could drop it off during business hours with all the equipment and left the boxes in the back of the truck, like they had told me to do. I have the receipt showing that I had paid for the boxes and the rental in full. Fast forward 4 MONTHS LATER and they're trying to charge $200 in late fees for the boxes claiming they weren't returned. No emails about them not being returned or any charges that had been accruing over the 4 months. I disputed it on the website and then today I see a $107 charge with no description or email or any communication as to what the charge is for. Nothing on the website about the charge to dispute and 25 minutes wait for customer service. You think you're done moving and then 4 months later they want $200 because they can't keep track of their stuff, and then charge $107 for no reason with nothing to reference or dispute.
