Charged me almost $300 for dropping off a 10’ truck in a different Uhaul 3 miles away by mistake. Sure I knew there was going to be a charge but $300?! It would be a similar charge if I had returned it to a different city 50 miles away! They’re making money charging unfairly huge fees from understandable mistakes here in Temple. 3 miles. On top of that, I did not receive a receipt for the change! I had to call twice, file a case with Uhaul and wait a few days to hear back from a person claiming to be the manager. Not a bad guy to talk to but not helpful or understanding. He stuck to the position that the charge is fair even though he admitted if I had returned it to a place 100 miles away it would be almost the same fee.

Horrible customer service- rude employees. Employees simply ignore you when you are waiting on a reservation. They also provide trailers that are not inspected or serviceable: picked up a trailer with tires that had screws sticking out. This business also forces everyone to wear a face diaper, disregarding the state wide mandate of removing the mask requirement. I'll stick with another business in the future as this is my second visit in 2 years and their business practice has not changed, but only gotten worse.
